Senator Fraan slouched back in his seat. He was hoping to get out of the senate chamber soon to contact Galantos, specifically the Black Hammer Pirates. As was common in a democracy, they were going nowhere. One side wanted to affect change, another said it was a bad change, still more wanted to stop change. "An now," he thought, "We sit around talking about what to talk about." Korbath was eager for it to be put to a vote, win or lose he could leave. "Although it it passes," he realized aloud, "Galactic could make a few more credits.

The senator mentally counted the room again, it seemed that slightly more of the senate was against the bill for various reasons, particularly the Senators from Sullust and Bimmisari. He would try to set himself for a larger influence by following their leads. Hopefully they would give him some sort of reward for his help on this vote.
The bothan stood curling the nail of his index finger through his small beard. "My fellow represenatives, Mr. Michelo is correct. We must return from this forray into subject of the Defense Fleet, to the task at hand. And that task Senators, is the protection of the citizens of the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances. We must protect the citizens from this flling economy, but this is not the way to do so. If we pass this bill we will promote the buisness within our borders and will also force our citizens to pay out more from their already empty bank accounts. We simply can not pass this and add to the hardship of our citizens." He sat and silently laughed at the reaction of the Senate. his words had gone completely against they way he actually felt but was recieved quite well by some of the senate's major power brokers, and that, after all, was more important.
