Jorunn eventually settles on the spicy durni ragout over egg noodles for her entree, and supplements with flora and fiber as necessary. One of the first lessons she ever learned was that machines perform based on the fuel grade they're given: What's true for automated threshers and star cruisers is true of biologicals, too, in this case.
After fetching a glass of mineral and vitamin treated water, she joins Jet. Erika has joined her, and she nods a pleasant, though maybe distant, hello, before sitting down, lying a napkin across her thigh and digging in.

"I was planning to" She told Erika with a frown when she thieved from her plate but other wise made no comment about it , it was Erika after all and such things were expected from her.
"But yes...Jorunn and I needed a break from lumpy chairs an cold delivered food" she told her as Jorunn joined them. "I take it Darren and them haven't gotten into to much trouble?" She asked, assuming that Erika would tell her what everyone had been up too while she had locked herself away in the med labs.

"Just making sure it was good enough for you to eat." She explained with a shrug of her shoulders. As Jorunn joined them she nodded a greeting. Erika knew very little about Jorunn, much like she knew very little about most of the crew including most of the Corellians, but that was part of this grand advanture was it not, to be stuffed into a ship with a million unfamiliar faces.
"Nope, they haven't gotten into much trouble. But they are Corellians after all, so I take it that we won't count those normal drunken brawls and gambling in the hanger bay under the category of trouble." Erika smiled, good old Corellians, the one thing she knew would never change was their draw towards fighting, drinking and gambling.

“Drunken brawls and gambling?” she asks in mock incredulity between bites. “Is this some sort of self-perpetuating stereotype, or is the Corellian Navy really lacking in that much discipline?”
“Even Mando’ade are a more organized bunch when they’re being paid for a job.”

"I'm sure Erika is exaggerating" Jet responded "And while Darren and his crew might live by a work hard, play hard motto - they are loyal. I know for instance that they won't switch sides on me for the highest bidder - like Mando's are prone to doing" She remarked in a dry tone. Mando's...as far as Jet was concerned were a bunch of useless, untrustworthy people that ought to just be wiped off the Galactic map.
"In any case - you can't really compare their actions to the Navy's, none of them are apart of the Navy proper though they are following Navy orders on this mission" As long as said orders didn't coincide with Jet's anyways, but there was no need to say that out loud. Darren and hi people were Jet's people, Dangerous Waves people and she'd picked them for both their skills and their unswerving loyalty to her, there might have been more skilled choices in her roster but the certainty of their loyalty in the end had made these choices the more valuable ones.

Erika was about to correct Jorunn in saying that Darren was not actually part of the Corellian Navy and therefore any drunken brawls that did occur had nothing to do with the Navy's organization or discipline. But it seemed Jet beat her to it, so she sat in silence and tried not to smile when Jet pointed out the faults of the Mando's to Jorunn.
"There was only one drunken brawl so far, though it broke up as quickly as it started and no one was badly hurt." She chimed in once Jet was done her explanation. "And I'm sure if they were part of the Navy they would have been disciplined for such actions. I'm not part of the Navy either but here I am taking orders from them." For the most part, she added mentally as much like Darren and his team she would listen to Jet's orders should they be given to her.

I know, for instance, that they won't switch sides on me for the highest bidder - like Mandos are prone to doing… That didn’t sit too well with her. “Mandalorians are loyal, but not stupid. There’s a reason the Mandalorians have existed continuously for thousands of years….can the same be said for the old republics, or the Jedi? Even the Sith?”
That came off as more accusatory than she intended it to….but she had fought alongside Mandalorians before. And to those they valued as burc’ye, they acted just like family….good family.
Nevertheless, she softens her approach with sincere curiosity. “I take it you haven’t had many favorable interactions with Mandalorians then, have you? “

Jet was aware that the Thruvarans and the Mandalorians had many similar thoughts - and historically were fairly close, but her prejudices against them were deeply ingrained and bitter. She wasn't about to apologize for her outlook on them.
" Aside from the numerous times they've tried to kill me for money? Apparently I'm their equivalent of a great hunting trophy, Or perhaps the time their witch of a Mandalore convinced a friend of mine to aid her in mending the Corellian/Mando fences - just so she could then turn about and try to steal my planet? No I've not had any favorable interactions with them. I can forgive the hunters...but I don't take well to being betrayed" She stated pointedly while stabbing a vegetable on her plate with her fork.

Falling silent as the other two woman began to mildly argue about their thoughts on the Mando's Erika cast her glance out at the rest of the room. Erika had little experience with Mando's so she couldn't really add anything to the current conversation. And really her main knowledge of them was purely based on what Jet had told her in the past, and as far as Erika was concerned and enemy of Jet's was an enemy of her own. It was a good thing she had hesitated over the idea of grabbing another bite of something off of Jet's plate as her aunt suddenly stabbed a helpless vegetable on the plate. Poor thing didn't stand a chance against the might of Jet and her fork wielding abilities.

A bemused grin and an elevated eyebrow.
“Your planet?” she asks. “If I remember my geopolitical briefing correctly, Corellia is a republic currently under a constitutional dictatorship. Did your appointment also come with a deed, or a key to the system?”
"Either way," she brushes the subject aside as fast as it came up,"it's resurgence makes Corellia a worthy prize, even moreso now that KDY merged with CEC. At this point, you should be expecting betrayal at every corner."
She realizes, a second too late, that she has just implicated herself. But she shrugs, mentally. If Jet wasn't paranoid by now, given her position, then a few comments from Jorunn weren't going to set her down that path either.

"They didn't want Corellia, they wanted Mykyr. Corellia is too hard of a target to take given their currently limited resources" She remarked with a slightly arched brow "And Corellia will be mine for as long as I protect it, much in the same manner that things you care for deeply and protect are 'yours' in your heart. It was not a statement of ownership but of commitment" She clarified.
"Regardless while betrayal can be expected it is none the less disliked, especially when it comes from those you cared about." she continued "Such betrayals leave the most bitter footprints and invoke the worst revenge"

Fingers tapped on the table as she wondered if this conversation would end up getting more heated than it should. Jet and Jorunn had come here to get a decent meal and to escape the confines of that horribly small room in the med labs, not to fight over small things like this. Best for Erika to try and change the subject if possible, but change it to what? Asking about Taaru's condition would certainly not be the most ideal of subject to bring up. Best to just play the diplomat for now.
"Forgive me for interrupting but you two came here to relax and eat, not bicker about things like this. In case you haven't noticed we are all stuck on this ship together so making enemies of each other now might not be the best thing to do, save it for when we are back home safe and sound."

Jorunn felt like pressing this issue of ownership with the Diktat. She was not a friend of tyranny, no matter how benevolent. It was one of the few things that had carried over into her new life, which started when Taaru had found her.
But Erika’s intercession made her think better of it. She was right of course, no use fighting over issues that couldn’t be helped now.
But still, she wondered how Corellia’s current dictatorship would end….peacefully or violently?
“Also dann…..” she says, leaving that hanging like the conversation, and sipping from her water while surreptitiously taking an account of Erika. Jorunn didn’t quite know where the other woman fit into all this….her father had only made cursory mention of her.
Are these DJO really so bored and purposeless that they can all drop what they’re doing and go on an adventure?

Jet waited to see what Jorunn would say next, given her heritage she half expected a continued and slowly escalating argument - neither of them being the type to either change their minds or back down. But Erika it seemed would be the voice of reason, and wasn't that a change of pace? Perhaps Dathomir had done something good for her after all.
"So we did" Jet agreed after a few moments of silence before she turned her focus on Erika, who lets face it had pretty much asked for it with putting an end to the conversation that had kept Jet's attention focused elsewhere. "So Erika...since you've returned from Dathomir do you intend to pick up where you left off training wise or will you be leaving again?"

Erika was quite grateful her intervention worked even if it did mean Jet's full attention was now on her asking that same question she asked everytime time they were together. "I will pick up where I left off last with my training." Giving her head a nod to confirm those words. "But you know that I must return to Dathomir eventually, my clan still needs me and there is still much to do to rebuild what was recently lost." Plus Erika had to admit it, that even though she missed Corellia when she was on Dathomir, she also very much missed Dathomir when she was away from it. She had family there, her clan, her sisters and her second life so to speak. DJO blood still ran through her veins but her heart often longed for the life that Dathomir offered her.
