Nodding at Aaron's explination of the simple mission.
"Yes I suppose that is pretty easy. Well until you spot a pretty little GA girl and blow our cover with your flirtacious ways. You think you can keep your boys under control for the entire time?"
She said with a quick glance at his pants, then returned her gaze to his eyes.

Aaron raised a brow at her and smiled. "I can assure you Miss Freeborn that I can keep my boys under control for as long as you need," he says, twisting her words for his own benefit.

She rolled her eyes at his comment. Why did Jet insist on keeping such an infuriating man around at all times. It was a real shame they weren't on Dathomir right now, for if that was the case Aaron would be sentanced for execution at the first showing of his special way with woman.
"Right, well thats good to know."
She took a deep breath knowing that no matter what she could possibly say when he was around he would turn it into something else.
"When do we leave?"

During the time it took for the trio of force users to tour the ship, the Faustus had dropped out of hyperspace and circled the Rendili system's sun on an elliptical, with a calculated course that would drop them in orbit around Rendili.
As soon as the ship had exited hyperspace, Aralee had ordered the all unnecessary defensive and offensive systems retracted into the ship, thus presenting a non-hostile image to any GA sensors, as well as revealing as little about the new Corellian cruiser as possible. Thanks to its ablative sensor coating and ECM/ECCM systems, the Faustus would merely register as a ship, length 1700m, and nothing else. Penetrating sensor scans would, however, yield nothing. For the sake of preventing the GA from tracking their process, the Faustus' IFF was altered to broadcast as the CNS Tokyo Rose, one of the many IFF tags reserved for Corellian East Indiamen. Unless the GA decided to pay extra special attention, the Faustus would appear as nothing more than another superfreighter from Corellia, a site that had grown common in the galaxy in recent years.
[...]
"As soon as we enter orbit and get clearance to send a ValCat down," is Taaru's response to Erika's question, as he and Miko join the group on the catwalk. "Which should be within the next 30 minutes or so," he continues, indicating the ETA timer on the expansive DRADIS UI.
It was only a matter of time before Rendili Flight control contacted them, and the bureacratic paper pushing would start. But trade agreements between Corellia and the GA were such that Corellian ships had free range of GA space: For it to be otherwise would kick a leg out from under the Alliance's commerce....something they could scarcely afford.
"I suggest you and Aaron grab whatever you'd like to take down with you."
"And I'll meet you in the hangar after you do," Miko chimes in, patting a shoulder-slung bag and thereby indicating he already had what he needed.

Epilogue
[[Hyperspace: Rendili to Humbarine, via Hydian Way]]
[3 hours after departure from Rendili]
The distressing silence of the observation room outside the main surgery suite of the medical bay, now much more crowded with worriers, is interrupted by the sound of the PA system's low-high note attention signal.
"The Diktat is requested in the Core room. Repeat, Madame Diktat to the Core room."

Jet had been attempting to get as much rest as one could while camped out on the floor of a hallway, she hadn't moved in the hours since she'd claimed the spot and while she wasn't sleeping she appeared that way to anyone who might think about bothering her.
The attention getting notes over the PA however were irritating and cracking her eyes open at the message she eyed the speaker with a mixture of disbelief and irritation "Are you serious..." She stated and pondered ignoring the call all together because whatever Aralee wanted could wait and closed her eyes again determined to wait for news of Taaru before moving...but when the chime sounded for a second time and the announcement was repeated Jet sighed and pulled out her comlink "Erika..I need you at the Med bay. Now..and no its not for a check-up" If she had to leave - then she'd make damn sure someone was here to relay news to her.

Though Erika was grateful for the few hours of rest that she got that was interrupted by the beeping of her comlink. Grumbling a bit Erika quickly listened the the message and send a reply back. "Alright I'm on my way." Though inwardly she wondered if Jet had said that just to get her down there for a check up. Well if that turned out to be the case then the doctors would have one hell of a fight on her hands. But reaching out through the force she quickly realized as she made her way through the corridors that would eventually lead her to the medical bays that it was not the case. The somber feeling she got was all centered about Taaru and even she was worried that he may not make it through this.
Entering the crouded hallway where Jet and many others had gathered to await word of Taaru's condition Erika made her way over to where Jet was. There really wasn't much to say so she just waited for whatever instructions Jet had for her.

By the time Erika showed up the chime was sounding for a third time and Jet glared at the speaker - if she'd had a bit more energy she might have wasted it on pointless destruction, instead she merely glared "Sith spawn, I'm coming - shut-up already" She muttered before turning her attention to Erika. To make her point she jabbed a finger at floor "You" she told Erika "Will stand right here, you will not move, leave, go to the fresher or other wise allow yourself to be distracted until you receive word of Taaru's condition or I return whichever comes first. If you receive an update you shall immediately contact me with the exact details..not a summary...you will repeat exactly..word for word what the doctors tell you..understood?...Good"
And not wishing to waste anymore time so that she could hurry back she didn't bother waiting for Erika's reply and instead merely cast one more worried look at the door she'd been holding vigil at and then left the re, making her way as quickly as possible to the core room where she had been summoned.
By the time she got there her irritation at being pulled away from something she considered vastly more important then many things on this ship showed all over her face in a look of simmering fury and worry "This had better be good..." She declared as she stalked through the door.

Listening to Jet's strick instructions on what she was and wasn't to do Erika nodded. "Of course." Well at least the message hadn't been a rouse to get her down her to get checked out - though surely that would come in time. For now though Erika was content to do as told and once Jet have moved Erika took her place on the floor. The closeness to the medical bay did make Erika a bit spiteful that she was forced to sit here but she knew that Taaru's life was possibly on the line and that her issues with the medical bay could be ignored for the time being. Making herself as comfortable as possible Erika settled in for a long wait.

As Jet enters the core room, she first encounters the technicians area, where the programmers have their terminals, hardware and a collection of office memorabilia and toys appropriate for slicer jocks of their caliber. Currently, these are unmanned, as per Cpt. Aralee's request.
As Jet continues past this area, she reaches the core itself: several banks of super-conducting, heuristic processing platforms, on which is stored the Riemann cycling-thought matrix that essentially composes the AI's "brain". She notices that the room becomes cooler as she approaches these.....most of the components are cooled with liquid helium, at a temperature around 4 degrees above absolute zero.
As she passes the processor banks, she finally arrives at a large terminal surrounded by holotanks. This is where the ship's crew can interface with all onboard AI, and offers a modest suite of programs comparable to the captain's tacmap table on the bridge.
It is here that she finds Aralee, in conference with Lilith, who's mostly nude, holographic Avatar has her sitting Indian-style, in contemplation.
Both entities, one digital, the other analog, turn towards Jet. This is sincere on Aralee's part....not so much on Lilith's, who has been watching Jet since Aralee requested her presence over the PA. But like so many things an AI had to consider in its operation of a ship, it also had to endeavor to act as human as possible, since successful interface with an organic crew required the trust brought on by organic familiarity. It was, in a way, just another calculation....
"Madame Diktat, I apologize to pull you away from your vigil, but I think this is something you'll want to see."
Cpt. Galor gestures to the primary holotank, currently displaying mass spectrometric data, as well as an ongoing symbological algorithm crunching data from the aggressor ships they had left behind on Rendili.

At least the relatively cool temperature of the room was agreeable - Jet liked the cold and it certainly suited her current mood, it mollified her somewhat and she greeted Aralee and Lilith in a tone somewhat less then infuriated and more akin to mere irritation unlike her first statement.
"Captain...Lilith" she greeted them , acknowledging the Captain's apology with a curt nod before turning to look at the data. "The ships from Rendilli?" She questioned after a few moments of scanning it "Your hoping to find where they came from I'm guessing" She pursed her lips - well she was certainly up for pulverizing whomever was responsible for harming Taaru.

"You've guessed correctly. The only thing we really have to go on is light spectrum data we retrieved on our first barrage against their heavy cruiser, and the spectrometric data on debris when we passed close the second time."
She indicates the symbological algorithm first.
"The Star Destroyer analogue's hull markings and EM readings register as Imperial Remnant, though the IFF wasn't broadcasting under any Remnant code in our contact library. We're trying to trace the specific ship now, but we'll have to wait till our query is processed back at Fleet HQ."
She nods back to the spectrometric data.
"This, on the other hand...is a bit more interesting. It's Lilith's conclusion, so I'll let her explain..."
Lilith, in response, disappears from the holotank on the outside ring and reappears in the holotable display, next to the data in question. Her red hair floats around, as if in water, but subtly placed to afford appropriate modesty where necessary.
"At first glance, the data suggests nothing you wouldn't expect from hull armor and engine missions. Plenty of durasteel, smaller quantities of duranium, transparisteel, and fractions compounds you'd find in everything from wire insulation to thermal foil."
She indicates these quantities on the readout, morphing the graph as necessary for scale.
"But at very low levels, we get these..." she waves her hand, dismissing the previous graphs for a new set, positioning and scaling them for better synergy.
"Traces of heavy metals, compound profiles that you never see in starship components....and even stranger....these radioactive species....."
"This spectrometric profile doesn't match anything the profile library has on record....but it DOES match the sort of matter composition you'd find in a main sequence star that's burnt out without a nova event....a black dwarf."
Lilith pauses, and looks back over her shoulder at Jet and Capt. Galor.
"I collated this with the visual data --- no real match on any of the symbols on that heavy cruiser yet --- but I did find plenty of instances of repairs present on the hull. The cruiser analogue has seen recent fighting, and has been repaired with mined material from a black dwarf...."
She lets this sink in.

"I see" Jet remarked after a few moments pause as she let the information sink in, what Lilith and Aralee were telling her was not at all the story of wayward irritating pirates and remnant warlords as she'd first suspected. Not just anybody could sit around playing miner on a black dwarf - and even those who could afford it, IF they had the technology for it - probably wouldn't bother most of the time. Materials were easier to get by other means.
No this person was clearly hunkered down somewhere and not wishing to be bothered. She'd known a few people like that - but only one of those people also enjoyed employing animalistic foot soldiers. Which was impossible because he was gone - long gone.
Stepping forward she studied the symbols Lilith had been talking to - now that a clear view was available she pointed to one of them "The person who used this symbol was not at Rendilli today" She told them "I'd have felt him, I knew him well. He is not supposed to be in the Galaxy any more but if he's returned it's possible these are his ships and he sent his minions to procure whatever he was after. It's unlikely our involvement was foreseen or that his minions even knew who we were or we would have been left alone." She told them before amending "Well as long as he still holds me in his esteem. One can't be to sure with Sith - especially the very old and wily ones"
If this turned out to be true - well it certainly put her in tricky situation now didn't it? Especially if Taaru didn't make it. Knowing that Aralee and Lilith would be waiting for a name Jet continued "That is the symbol of Sith Lord Freedon Nadd" Moving her hand she circled a few others "And these designate The Wielders of the One Force, Freedon created them after separating himself from the Sith for a time. they were his own private minions - servants, mercenaries..students. Different things at different times and they were quite fond of modified animal shock troops, like we saw on Rendili. Freedon was known to Frequent Corellia, he enjoyed the CCC and visiting the mansion, there should be some basic information on him in the database."

"I do not have access to your private records, Madame Diktat. Not for the action of privacy laws, but because your Mansion's security prevents any access via the Cortex," Lilith observes. This news does not shock her, it is simply information. And she has not had enough interaction to even realize she should act shocked, though Aralee's reaction informs her of such.
The Cpt. is momentarily taken aback by the frank familiarity with which Jet speaks about this, their recent foe. But everything else is vaguely familiar to her....she remembers studying political science at the academy, and recalls Freedon Nadd's name appearing during the second Yuuzhan Vong Incursion and the early years of the recent iteration of the Corellian republic.
"You keep strange company...dangerous company, Madame Diktat. How sure are you that we can expect no hostilities in the home system from this Sith warlord? Moreover, do we warn the Republic about his presence? Actions like this are what destabilize political balances...."

"Right, I forgot the Faustus unlike ShadowChaser doesn't have access to those files. Well Ice used to route the pertiant ones through Chaser to Glacier as needed i imagine I can have him do the same here if you'd like Lilith" she stated - though in all honesty she doubted the information would do them much good, surely Freedon had upgraded significantly since her last updates. Tactics might still be viable however - old dogs didn't always like changing their tricks.
Turning her attention to Aralee she smiled a grim smile "When the Galaxy is full of sharks Captain its always good to make friends with some of the biggest, though not always wise to turn your back on them. Doubtless he will be irritated that we took a few hunks out of his ship, but Faustus is new and unknown to him, he may not even know it was us - might chalk it up to the Republic, but he came there for something and if he got what he was after I wouldn't expect anything else to come from it. I am quite certain Freedon will not go after Corellia - and I'd rather not give him an excuse to change his mind by announcing his return when he desires otherwise. We are not Jedi nor Alliance watchdogs, it won't take them long to draw the same conclusions as we did if they study the facts - Freedon was well known, they have files on him too. Let them draw their own conclusions without us having to explain how we know who attacked Rendilli when we're not supposed to be here. I would like to know where he is however...I'm assuming you can narrow it down lilith? "
