Having completed the systems check on the Punda Milia and making some minor adjustments here and there Erika heard the faint beep of her comm link. Searching the ship she found it hidden beneath some datapads in the cockpit. She listened to the message quickly and then put the strewn about datapads back where they belonged. She needed to get ready to leave, as the message had indicated that this mission was in the final prep stages and would leave shortly. Shutting down the few systems she had running at the time she left the ship and went off to find Rothk and gather her thins.
She found Rothk just outside the training room door following Ice. She ran to catch up to him before he entered the room.
"Hey bud what you doing?"

"I was just about to do some training that Jet told me to do."
He said as he turned to face his mother, giving her a smile.
"Are you going to watch me?"

She smiled at Rothk's enthusiam.
"No I'm afraid I can't watch. We need to be getting ready to leave so you will need to forget about that training lesson. Things are starting to move along with this mission and we will be leaving shortly."
Seeing the slight disappointment on Rothk's face she patted him on the shoulder.
"Don't worry, it will be a long time and you will have plenty of time to train. Now run along and make sure all your things are ready. And remember we won't be returning for some time so be sure you bring everything you need."

His shoulders dropped and a small frown appeared on his face when she told him he would need to cancel the training session. But he perked up at the mention of training on the ship and leaving on this journey he had been looking forward to.
"Ok I will."
He spun around and went towards the turbolift.
Once in his room he began to dig through his things, decided what he would and wouldn't need and began to place them in the bags his mother had left there for him.

Erika smiled as he ran off. She had most of her things packed already but there were a few last minute things she needed to do as well. She went up to her room and double checked the contents of her bags. The she grabbed another small bag and filled it with a few datapad, a training saber and a remote. She took this bag and went to Talpha's room.
Talpha was still asleep but was healing well from her incident in the training room. Being sure to keep quiet Erika sat the bag on the table near the bed and put a datapad beside it. This datapad contained the recording of Talpha's training room disaster and noted her many mistakes for her to learn from. She left her daughter to rest and went back to her packing

Making her way downstairs Erika headed to the armory. She knew that the ship would be well stocked with every weapon imaginable but one could never be too prepared. Besides most of the weapons she had had on Dathomir were destroyed or stolen in that battle with the nightsisters, so she needed to restock her personal supply of weaponry.
Stopping just inside the door of the armory she smiled. Not many places had such a huge variety and stocking of weapons than that of the mansions armory. She did always enjoy coming in her to play with the newest toys that Jet had gotten her hands on. Grabbing an empty bag from near the door she began to walk up and down the rows of weapons grabbing this and that. Grabbing a pair of new blasters she caught sight of Jet nearby, holding up the blaster she smiled.
"Never leave home without them."

Jet was aware when Erika entered the armory, presumably to restock her own supply, catching sight of her when she drew closer and held up the blaster Jet smiled and nodded.
"Generally a smart idea..might want one of these too" She remarked, closing the breech of an older model slug-thrower - different situations called for different ammunition after all and slugs sometimes worked better then lasers, tossing the slug-thrower in Erika's direction Jet pulled a second from the rack and began to check it over. "Boxes of Ammunition are back by the vault door."

Catching the slug-thrower Erika gave it a quick check over before going to vault door. Grabbing several boxes of ammunition she placed them in her back as well as took a holster for the weapon, which she attached to her belt and then placed the weapon inside.
"How soon before we leave?"
She asked Jet after going back to the rows of weapons looking for anything that peaked her interest or could replace what she had lost.

"Soon...very soon" Was Jet's only answer as she holstered the slug-thrower she'd chosen and turned her attention to the other side of the row The lockers on this side housed the more experimental weaponry..thing that jet played around with once in a while but rarely took out on actual combat missions. She let her gaze tick over the coded forms in turn mentally writing most of them off as impractical as she walked the row.
She stopped at the locker coded for the lightbow and opened it, she'd developed the weapon with Dylan - in the early stages the weapon had been infested with accuracy problems, Jet had managed to sort them ou but had yet to actually use the weapon for more then fooling around with on targets. Opening the locker she pulled out a case an opened it - the lightbow was a small weapon to carry - collapsible and quickly put together but had been more of a passing curiosity between the two of them and very few of them had been made. Despite this they had developed several different ammo types for the weapon along with the mini saber like arrow that had first peaked their interest.
Jet doubted she'd have cause to use the weapon..but she'd always wanted to actually field test it, snapping the case shut she set it on the ground and closed the locker.
"Can't hurt to at least bring it along" She stated to Erika with a shrug.

"You always did like being over prepared."
Erika said with a slight smile. She knew that the reason Jet had managed to survive so many battles was thanks to that reason. She herself trying to often be overprepared when looking at an invasion of the Nightsisters, it didn't always help but sometimes it was what pushed them to victory.
"Rothk will be ready shortly. I found him just as he was about to do that training exercise you set up for him. He was obviously disappointed that he couldn't do it but understanding that now was the time to prepare and not playing around with remotes."
Zipping the pack closed as it had reached its fill of various weapons she couldn't help but smile as the memory of playing in this room as a child crossed her mind.

"no such thing" Jet responded with a slight smile, eyeing the secondary vault at the far end of the Armory - within lay weapons most would consider more collectors items then weapons to use - including the sith sword DL had crafted specifically for her.
Jet rarely used the weapon, she had never been a student of the sith culture or force beliefs...but neither had she shied away from knowledge or use of them when needed, her sword - designed, created, bedecked with runes and infused with sith magics had been a gift, DL had told her upon presentation that the weapon would never fail to do what was needed as long as her will remained firm. Swords were far more unwieldy then sabers however, both to conceal and to carry.
But the last time she had wielded the weapon stood out in her mind - and perhaps it would be wise to bring it with her, it had come in handy before and one never knew what one would face on missions such as this.
"Thats fine" she told Erika as an aside "I'm sure he'll find time to see to it once we're aboard Faustus" Mind made up she made her way to the secondary vault - entering a code that changed often and was known only to a very select few.

"Yes he will."
She said as she double checked her inventory of weapons. Watching Jet move over to the second vault she was interested to see what crazy weapon she would pull out this time. No doubt there were many weapons locked up in this room that Erika had never seen. She set her well sutffed bag of weapons by the armory door and then went back to watching Jet unviel this new weapon. Leaning on a nearby weapon rack, she crossed her arms and waiting to see exactly what it was.

The sound of the second vaults massive locks disengaging created a series of low rumbles and sharper clicks, although the vault was rarely opened Jet ensured that it was well maintained and after a few moments the heavy door had opened smoothly. Automatic lights flickered and then held steady as Jet entered, it was cold in the vault - a necessary precaution considering some of the things held in storage here - encased in deep freeze for the most part and further entombed behind thick transparisteel along one wall were Biological and chemical weapons - some of which the rest of the Galaxy thought extinct. Jet ignored these however after only a cursory glance..she had no need of planet wide plagues for the moment.
She similarly ignored the various data files which stored blueprints or testing records for a variety of weapons which had never made main production but were too promising to simply toss away.
She passed by the transparasteel casings which held cultural weapons from ancient times - relics collected more for curiosity then usability, some by her...some by Grifter and the rest of the DJO, They were valuble..but ultimately useless for her current needs. Housed in the far corner of the vault however was her goal.
Removing the security from around it Jet pulled the door open and took the sword along with its sheath from the cradle which normally held it, closing the casing she headed back to Erika, ensuring the Vault closed and locked securely.
Drawing the blade from its sheath, Jet inspected the weapon, although it looked like it was carved from Ice Jet know it was not so - some form of Sith magic had merely made it appear that way, exactly what metal alloy had been used she was unsure but she kne without a doubt that it was impervious to saber damage, glittering runes came alive with a flickering of blue as she gripped the hilt - the sword recognizing its master and Jet whose precision and focus was always incredibly well honed none the less felt it sharpened, even as her saber was an extension of herself - it did not compare to the way she could sense the sword.
Replacing the blade within its sheath she slung it over her back and glanced at Erika "never know when that sort of thing might come in handy, DL never gave useless gifts"

Erika watched Jet make her way through the vault from the door. She was curious to see what interesting weapon Jet was looking for. She perked up when she saw shape of the sheath. She recognized the shape from her own swords. As Jet unsheathed the weapon a smile crept upon Erika's face. It was a beautiful weapon that seemed to repsonde to Jet. Erika's own swords were beautiful but none possessed the power that semed to eminate from this particular weapon.
"It sure is an amazing sword."
She commented as Jet sheathed the weapon. Erika was quite familiar with sword to sword combat, it wasn't as graceful as a lightsaber but if one knew how to weild one properly it could be just as effective.
"Yes it could be handy. A weapon for every possibility."

"It is..but it was also made by a Sith Lord, a sith lord I considered a friend but a Sith none the less and it's well to remember that they often have ulterior motives - which is why I rarely use it. Still...it might be useful so it's coming"
Walking towards the armory entrance Jet picked up the remained of her finds and glanced over at Erika.
"I think it would be wise to keep Rothk from getting a hold of the sword - it's imprinted on me, but like I said - Sith, you and I can handle the allure of such weapons and abilities, a child however probably dosen't have that sort of impulse control. He should be armed however - just in case - does he know how to shoot a blaster or anything?"
