He thanks her for her compliment, and chuckles at her comment about the ceremony: "You will certainly have some competition. The Faustus is certainly a refined lady. I hope you aren't too jealous of her.
He glances over to Miko, with the Thruvarans resting at ease.
"Well,....looks like it's time to get this show on the road."
He turns to Avery and executes a formal bow, with an arm across his chest.
"Ms. Heartshorn...," he says in leave-taking, turns and struts off towards his squadron.
"KOMPANIEEEEE, HABACHT!," Miko roars as Masako approaches. The double line of Thruvarans, standing in a grid in precisely equivalent intervals from eachother, moves in perfect unison as they stand at attention and salute Masako, who takes up a place to Miko's right.
Taaru returns their salute, and orders them to rest at ease, addressing them in their mutual language.
<<Brothers and sisters, tonight we pay our dearest respects to a fine Lady of the Line, who in her grace and her evanescent qualities has seen fit to ferry us to our destinies. Furthermore, we are guests of honor among the Corellians, who have showered us with luxuries and, more importantly, the means to do our jobs,>> he indicates the MACS suits by flipping a pretend visor down over his face.
<<This means that I expect every single one of you to act with the dignity, strength, and honor of a Thruvaran Reiter. Especially the Scholls,>>.
The twins respond with a "Jawohl, Major!" in the back row, which some of the others are hard-pressed to ignore for its inherent comedy.
Taaru lets them all settle before continuing. <<By tonight, we will all be on our way. I would like to presume that we won't see any trouble as we journey to our destination, but you will all agree with me when I say that's foolish.>>
A resounding affirmative from the entire squadron.
<<We are Thruvarans! Do we do things the easy way?!>>
<<No, sir!>>
<<Do we do them the hard way?!>>
<<NO, SIR!>>
<<How do we do them?!>>
<<OUR WAY!>>
Taaru gathers his hands behind his back: <<Make me proud, boys and girls. Make all of us proud. Dismissed>>
A final salute from squadron, which Taaru reciprocates, and they have dissolved, grabbing their things and loading the last of it onto the Rhapsody. Taaru is content to watch them, having only himself to stow in his ship, and is glad to see them all in high spirits.
Miko, who had been standing behind him, walks up and pats his shoulder.
"Nice speech, Masako. Almost sounds like a holofilm we both saw back at the academy."
Taaru grins at nothing in particular: "Shut it, Reglia."

Sarena smiled in response to Jet's nod. "Actually I think I should thank you for not making him wear the uniform," she says, smiling at Aaron. She tugged playfully on his sleeve. "I kinda like the spiffy look."
Aaron rolled his eyes when Sarena spoke, but he smiled anyway. Running his hand over the side of his jacket to straighten out a crease, Aaron nodded around the hangar. "So which ships have room for three," he asked.

Avery nodded and watched Taaru exit out to give his speech. It was indeed a little exhilarating to hear it, and it did sort of leave her feeling a bit better about the situation at hand. Maybe this would go down well. Maybe there was potential in this "rag tag" group, as Miko put it.
She picked up her own bag, which had been sitting beside her and slowly wandered forward, glancing around to watch all the people sort of fumbling around each other and laughing at each others jokes and odd sayings. She reached to grip the bag's handle with both hands, holding it in front of her as she slowly stepped around.
She ended up finding a clearing in the crowd near a wall and found herself leaning on it, allowing the coolness to seep through Miko's coat. She closed her eyes for a moment and sighed, allowing her mind to blank and her body to relax. She sensed this first day would be awkward and stressful. And this moment alone was nice.
she decided she should probably find Jet and see which ship she should board.
But for this brief moment, she was going to relax and seek calm.

Jet's eyes strayed to the Thruvarans as they went through their gathering, although she couldn't understand the words being said she gathered the jist of it through the force, brushing Taaru with a small appreciative force ping - the equivalent of 'impressive' before glancing to Darren. "Gather them up Dare"
As the Corellian's gathered Jet exchanged a few quiet words with each before sending them aboard The Chaser, she had already made her wishes clear when they arrived - should she need to repeat either her orders or her expectations there would be trouble and her aversion to most things formal and rigid made her shy away from the type of Display set forth by Taaru and his team. Different tactics for different people she supposed.
When the last Corellian had boarded she turned her attention to Aaron "You can ride in either ship - there is room I believe in each"

Seeing that things were moving Erika decided she better get her and Rothk aboard a ship before they were left behind. Picking up her bags she motioned for Rothk to do the same and made her way over to the Chaser.
"We'll ride with you."
She said to Jet as she made her way on board and put her bags away.
Rothk followed her aboard after giving Jet a small smile, he couldn't hide his excitment about leaving and piled his bags with his mothers. He found a seat and claimed it as his own before the others arrived.

Sagara arrived in the hanger as the Corellian's were boarding, but held back - allowing Jet to conduct her business for the time being.

Aaron nodded. "Well as thrilled as the Thruvarans would be to have me on their ship how about Adrien and I stick with you and the home team," he proposed.
Sarena waited a few moments to see if Jet and Aaron would exchange anymore words before looking to Jet. "Not to be forward but I'd like to thank you for accepting my son Miss Almeara," she said politely, offering her hand to her. "I really appreciate everything you've done for he and I."

Masako stands next to the boarding ramp to his ship, waiting for his squadron to board. He notices Miko, standing on the other side of the ramp, fidgeting with his beret, while looking over at a sole figure leaning against a wall, whom he quickly recognizes as Avery.
Taaru stares long enough at Miko to get his attention, then flicks his gaze in Avery's direction, as if to say "What are you waiting for?"
Miko, seemingly having made up his mind, sets his beret at a jaunty angle and heads over to Avery.
Taaru grins, and watches him go, soon after boarding the Rhapsody and making himself comfortable in the pilot's seat.

Miko walks towards Avery, stopping a few feet in front of her and gesturing for her to follow him.
"C'mon, you're going to miss the boat."
As a further incentive, he offers her his arm.

Footsteps were nearing closer and her brows furrowed together before her eyelids shot up. When her blurred focus suddenly cleared, she saw Miko.
She smiled sheepishly.
"Time to go?"
She could feel the knot in her stomach tightening, nerves were already kicking in. Her fingers clutched the handle on her bag tighter and her shoulders scrunched up a bit. But she smiled nervously and reached out to take his arm.
She wanted to ask a million questions, but found herself asking on a borderline whisper, "Nervous?"

Jet nods to Aaron and then accepts Sarena's hand with a knowing look "I will keep him safe, you have my word" and once given Jet's word was never broken - by promising this to her she was in effect promising her life in exchange for Adriens if it came down to it.

The sides of Aaron's mouth lifted slightly as he watch Sarena shake Jet's hand.
"I know that," said Sarena. "And I am extremely honored." Having said her mind she takes her back and looks down at her son, smiling down at him before looking back up to Aaron. "You two better get going. Oh! We forgot your bags!"
"That's ok," Aaron replied to her. His eyes fluttered shut and suddenly the bags appeared behind where he stood. He opened his eyes and smiled when he had finished using the Aing-Tii technique. He turned to Jet and gave her a look, letting her know he'd be along shortly and pulled Sarena away to have a word.
Adrien stayed with the bags and looked up at Jet, giving her a childish smile.

Miko, a bit surprised,"Nervous? Not really. There's not much to it: Show up, applaud when its appropriate, enjoy the reception, and we're off on a cruise."
Thinking better of it, after noticing that she, quite evidently, WAS nervous: "Think of it in terms of the opportunities, Ms. Heartshorn. Not in terms of what you may be leaving behind."

She looked up at him with her brows raised and a look on her face depicting, 'You know I'm not talking about that.'
But his next comment got her a little. Looking away towards the ship they were going to, his words sunk in a bit.
"There's nothing here for me. I'm not leaving anything behind..."
She smirked a bit and looked back to him.
"It's sweet that you think I do though. But apparently Taaru has not told you enough about me..."
She squeezed his arm a bit tighter, pressing her shoulder against his for a few seconds.
"So how long is this ceremony going to be? This dress is wicked awkward to move in."

He should be chagrined by her comment. Certainly, Taaru generally refrains from gossiping, but Miko doesn't think he is at a deficit. Indeed, he views it as the eponymous opportunity just mentioned to get to know Avery a little better.
"The ceremony? Well, I'm afraid I'm at a loss. Thruvarans usually throw a bottle of usquebaugh on the hull and call the ship a ship. Corellians are probably a bit more elaborate. They've a longer naval tradition than we do."
They reach the entrance ramp to the Rhapsody, Miko stepping forward and offering his free hand to assist her up it.
