He gave it some thought...it was a valid enough question.
"Intuition...male bravado,...protective instinct....first-hand experience. A mix of many things, I think."

"Did I know you before? Did you meet me in one of his classes?"
She stood up, stumbling for a moment before setting her hand on the desk to keep her steady.

"I only met your father once, when he was guest-lecturing at the Academy. I do seem to remember a little blonde, grey-eyed sprite that seemed to shadow him wherever he went."

"It was a good guess that I would still be following him then."
She walked back to her bed, sitting down for a moment before laying back and closing her eyes.
"Taaru, I'm kinda drunk."

"As you should be, and so am I."
He seats himself across from her in one of those couches that you simply sink into.
"Quite the accomplishment, an entire bottle of whiskey between the two of us."

"It's all a blurr really..."
Her voice was soft, halfway between her regular voice and a whisper. Her throat was still burning a little from the whiskey.
"But you know me, full of accomplishments."

He would agree, accept he'd fallen asleep, and he looked pretty damn comfortable. Considering he rarely slept in a bed, usually in a comfy chair, it wasn't really a surprise. That, and he'd been awake for 3 days straight.

There was a pause.
"Taaru?...."
There was another pause. When she sat up, she rubbed her temple and her eyes focused on his sleeping form.
"Poor guy..."
She inhaled slowly as she stood up and pulled the top blanket off her bed, tripping across the room to slowly place it over him. She stood back, crossing her arms overher stomach and tilting her head to one side.
There was an oppertunity here- and there were no reprocussions to deal with. He was asleep, he would never know what dumb and drunken actions she would take. She pressed one hand against the couch's arm to hold herself as she slowly leaned forward, lowering her head towards his own. However, when she was mere inches from a kiss, she could feel her stomach clentching and her mind suddenly racing in thought.
Don't wake up, dont wake up, don't wake up....

She felt an uncharacteristic restraining force on her collar bone.
"I do not, however, remember Prof. Heartshorn raising a nymph."
An eye unscrewed itself to fix its gaze on her.
<What are you playing at?>, in Thruvaran.

She inhaled sharply.
"Let go."
She stood up and stepped back.
"It's not fair to use that with me when you know I don't have that sort of power."
Avery sobered up fast.
"Stop."

The pressure subsided, and Taaru stood, and Avery caught a glimpse of what boiled below the surface. He seemed twice as tall as he'd been before.
"You are not in a place to speak about fairness. I belief you have some thinking to do, some confusing feelings to work out. I vill leave you to it."
He turned without another word, slamming the door behind him.

"Damn old man..."
She was fuming, furious...and definately still drunk. She plopped down at her desk and opened up a few of her books, flipping them to the pages she had flagged. Realizing she had gotten them from the exact spots Taaru had placed them, she promptly began pulling the books and letting them drop on the floor. Hopefully Taaru could hear every damn one of them. Thump Thump Thump.
She however, did leave her father's folder on the desk, opening it and skimming over the underlined parts.
A few hours later, she laid her head down on her desk, pencil still in hand, and fell asleep.

When Jet was finshed going over the plan with Sagara - she found Amber and did the same wth her, Devlin of course was already aware.
With any luck no one would even realise that Jet had left Corellia at all, Amber with hair dyed red was a near carbon copy and her force signature resembled her's to a high degree, only someone who knew Griffen may pick out the subtle trace of him within her. Amber had the power..Sagara the knowledge..and Devlin the experiance, between the three of them Jet was sure they could keep the illusion going for quite a while, a few apperences in the CCC and elsewhere in Coronet and most of the public would never know any differant.
Finished with these preparations and with her gear stowed away on ShadowChaser Jet found herself laying on the couch, arms crossed behind her head with eyes closed, she wasn't sleeping and only a very stupid person would consider her unobservant to things around her...but she was deep in thought, about what exactly was hard to tell.

The signs were slowly coming together- the heiroglyphs, ancient beings, the begining of the world. Those signs were more than the words implied, and even at that...the translations were completely off.
Avery's head jolted up from the desk, and her hands clutched at the sides.
"Eden!"
She adjusted her glasses, which were halfway off her face and she ran her fingers through her bangs, grabbing onto the hair there as she looked around frantically.
"It's the garden of Eden."
She grabbed at a pen, pulling out her copy of the hieroglyphs, and began to write notes all over the page in bright red.
"Lain to waste... creation....fruition....lumination? No, luminary...."
She grabbed all the papers in a hurry, putting whatever she could grab in her arms and she rushed out the door.
"Taaru! Taaru I found something!"

Avery stumbles out into the hallway adjacent into her room, and bumps into a servant droid that had taken her sudden outburst as a demand for service.
Hearing the name of the Feared One, the droid quickly extends a hand to the training room, and makes itself scarce. Sticking around when Taaru was demanded was not the healthiest thing for a droid.
