Alright, I've gotten two pretty simple ones up. I'll get a bit more fancy the more I grow accustomed to proboards.
Anyway, post any ideas for themes you have or some images you'd like to see included.

Hey Pat. Currently I have the Dark Storm theme up. I really like the color layout and the starry background so far, but it would only make sense to have a few different skins for people to choose from.
I'm wondering, however, if you or Jet intend to swap out skins depending on what storyline we are currently in, or to reflect "current events" in the board.
We could also think about developing themes along the idea of our different groups, so that we have a Jedi theme, a Sith theme, Imperial theme, etc.
Just some ideas to ponder...
Also, I'd like to come up with some banners as well, but since I don't have admin powers, I'll need to know what dimensions they'll have to be. I have a few lying around that I did once for SoF that I can rework for our purposes, if you're interested.

there's actually noset dimensions that I've encountered so far so whatever you feel is the right size I'm sure would work. Nothing gigantic of course lol.
I actually had the idea for group themes and storyline themes as well. If I'm not mistaken I think we can even work it out so that once you enter into a certain section of the board the skin will change to what the mods set it, so if I can I'd like to try and do that but if not I'll make complete themes for all the major factions.

ok, I just tested it out some and the widest image we can have is 800 pixels but don't worry about that. When it's posted it's automatically resized anyway

Alrighty, I'll get crackin on some banners and such then. I won't be able to implement anything till I get admin privileges. Even then, I'll probably have to ask you for some pointers on using proboards.
Speaking of which, how do you set your signature to display a personal banner, as opposed to text?

oh that's easy. Just host the image on a site and take the direct link. Paste the address in your signature box but make sure it looks like this:
[img]http//:blah.blah.blah[/img]

Alrighty...I guess all it took was for me to brush up on my html codes. I need to see if I can find that handy guide I once had....could post it somewhere on the forums so others can use it.
Thanks anyway, tho, Pat. Still waiting on those admin privileges, but as soon as I get em, I'll start posting rules and such after I smooth them over and rework them a bit.
I'll have to send you a couple banners and things I have as well. Don't want to mess with what you've already set up, so I won't try to screw with established skins. But we should definitely get together at some point and brainstorm ideas for skins/banners/etc.
I'll also be talking to Jet about how we're going to organize the forums, considering we don't want to end up with a couple hundred threads that are used once, then never again.

I like the storyline idea alot, also we could do a few classic themes - from the star wars movies, the clone wars, the expanded universe, seasonal one would be cool as well - a star wars christmas one ect

So I havent used proboards in like... 9 years or something, I think it was a Starwars vs StarTrekk rp. But I don't remember anything about it, much less how to change theams or even veiw different ones.
I do remember hating the giant signatures, they always seem to cluter the screen..

I think I can put a limit on how big they can be no huge half page signatures needed but it is nice to have a little one with a pic of your character or whatnot.
You change themes by going to your profile - Edit profile and then scrolling down to where it says choose skin/theme.
