Arden found herself feeling unabashedly amused by this sentiment. Rather than argue the point, she let it hang.
~Then you have ... summoned me here for a reason, I do hope?~ She pronounced the word with a twist of wry humor. ~I should hate to be let down after traveling all this way.~

A smile could be heard in his voice when Kyrantar replied. "My lady you misconstrue my words. I have not summoned you here," he waved a hand around there surroundings. "The force simply told me that someone was seeking me out. All I did was open myself and assume they would find me."

~Good. For I have been seeking you. You are powerful, that I am not ignorant of. What you may or may not be aware of is that the events that have disrupted the galaxy of late are all connected. And all according to the plans laid by myself and by my Master. I have not come here at his beseeching to seek you out - rather, I sensed for myself that you are potentially worthy to play a part in the mechanism that has already been set into motion. ~ She lifted one hand to gesture pointedly. ~You had a holocron with you. Tell me, if you will, what you know of the ways of the Sith? ~ She let the last word slide out in a low tone thick with implication.

"I know all that my master has chosen to teach me through his instrument," he said. He took her hand gesture as a way means of requesting to see the holocron but it was his master's, and he was his master's keeper. He would show it to her when he felt it would suit him. "I know enough to assume the title of Darth," he continued dryly. "Perhaps enough to seize control of the coming storm and declare myself the one true Dark Lord."

~I cannot fault you for lacking ambition, then.~ she said. ~But I will not allow you to intervene with our plans. I will, however, offer to let you help us in forging them. This is not an offer I extend lightly, and I will not humor you by making any sort of vow that I won't change my mind if your association proves....lacking. But I offer it, nonetheless. The One True Dark Lord of old gathers only the strongest to him. If your desire is to fell him, you'd learn more by serving him then by dying at the hand of his servants, or by attempting to outrun his reach.~ She looked him over consideringly. ~You don't immediately strike me as the running type, so your options are much more limited.~ One hand dropped casually to the saber at her hip.
~At the very least, you might consider working with me. I intend to rid the galaxy of upstarts who would challenge our impending rule. I'd imagine you might enjoy expelling some of the competition as well.~

"I see no reason to not work with you, but I cannot subject myself under another lords rule. My master would not allow such devotion to anyone but myself, as a true sith would know," he told her. "Tell me, my lady, just who is this Dark Lord you claim to be your master and is he a true descendant of Darth Sidious?"

~He IS the Sith~ she pronounced, her voice abruptly thundering in intensity. ~He is their legacy, their beginning, and their ending. He broke the Sith Order when they had failed him, and only those true to the origins of the Sith prevailed. I am a herald of those times, before and after the Breaking, and of his will. If you deny him now, you must make that choice in time... But that choice can wait. I ask you to join me as a sister in the legacy of the Sith. I am his apprentice, and I do not ask you to bow before me. Purge the unworthy at my side.~

Kyrantar's arms fell to his sides, allowing his cloak to encompass his body. This was his only reaction to her thundering voice. "I will stand by your side, if you but stand at mine," he said in the same tone he had been using all along. "But know this My lady: I will kill your master, and you if need be but not today. When the time comes perhaps you will stand at my side, and we can continue my master's, Darth Sidious's, rule together."

~Very well~ Arden all but purred. ~I think the terms are clear enough on both sides.~ She considered for a moment, and then felt that it was the right time to pronounce her next words. If he betrayed her identity now, it would only feed the fires of suspicion and paranoia sweeping the galaxy, a welcome addition to the mix. ~You may call me Lady Vader. Perhaps, in time, if you prove interesting enough, you may call me Arden.~

"Ah, Vader," he said mulling over the name. "A good name for a sith. My name," he continued. "Is Darth Kyrantar. Perhaps, in time, you will come to know me as Master. Or perhaps I will bestow that title upon you someday."

~Certainly all things are possible~ she remarked, bemused. ~Kyrantar. My ship's signature is The Marauder. I will wait until you contact me, and then we shall begin the hunt. For now, I have pressing matters to attend to.~ She inclined her head slightly. ~To our new association.~
With that, she turned on her heel, and swept back to her ship.

Kyrantar inclined his head as she left and watched her go. When she had left his sight he held his hand out, palm facing the ground, and the stool he had been sitting on rose from the sands. He sat in his previous position and pulled out the holocron of his master. There he sat for numerous hours as the projection of his master reflected off of his facemask as it had before.
