A small side office of the Jedi Temple the communications room features state of the art equipment. Typically manned by two non force users affectionately called 'The Com Twins'. The twins are gangly red-heads and nerds at heart - but they'll see your messages safely where they belong.

When Mercy slipped into the Com room a familiar sight met her eye's - the twin's notorious for thier love of games, had hijacked one of the moniters and were engaged in a heated game of ..well Mercy didn't recognize the game off hand but then she'd never been much of a gamer.
Tossing an escaped strand of pink hair behind her Mercy grinned and snuck up on the two distracted guys."BOO!" she shouted inbetween thier nearly identical heads, thier reaction was appropriately musing nad had Mercy shaking in laughter and holding her stomach nearly doubled over.
The twins had shot out of thier chair - sending various snacks scatering about the entire room, chairs spun into the wall as they clambered over one anothertowards the door - keen on escaping well whatever it was their minds thought had come to get them. Probably one of the Council members - they were notoriously ill tempered at times.
Finally realizing who it was that had scared them they shook identical fingers at her."Mercy!" cried the one on the right. "Should have known" finished his twin on the left. Both of them rubbed the back of their necks and wore identical bashful smiles.
Mercy was quite used to their duo-acts however and flashed them both a brilliant smile before holding up a bag of exotic candy. "Got you boys the usual" She stated before tossing it onto the counter.
The twins of course got the point immediately this was after all a fairly usual occurrence in the last while. "Great Mercy we were just on our way out..." Started one.."For break" ended the other and with a hearty wave they fled the room.
Turning to the console Mercy typed in a code she'd committed to memory quite a while ago - if the Council found out or even force hoped - Chase himself, both would probably be furious. But it would be worth it..she hoped.
------------------------------------------------ CONNECTION ESTABLISHED....
'Nothing new to report' 'same here' 'your leaving soon' 'yes.' 'how long will you be gone?' 'not sure, transmissions may be spotty. Keep looking' 'good luck'
CONNECTION LOST
--------------------------------------------------------------------
As the conversation drew to a close Mercy made sure to wipe any traces of it from the Jedi computers - thank the force for her time in the Vipers which had honed her hacking skills. Glancing at the time she slipped out the door and around the corner just as the Twins were coming back down the hall. She waved jauntily at them before turning and dissapearing into the rest of the Temple.

It'd been some time since Daphne had made her way down here. The twins actually looked surprised - obviously they remembered when she was in here every day pestering them about whether or not they'd received a message for her.
They could tell by the look on her face though, that she wasn't in the mood to catch up.
She didn't even give a hello, or any other preamble.
"Anything?" she all but demanded. She looked drawn and tired, as if she hadn't had a good night's sleep in weeks. This was especially odd considering how fine she'd looked just the day before.
"Any messages for you from..." started one of the twins, casting at his brother with a nervous eye.
"From Cole," Daphne said. "Anything at all?"
The two exchanged glances again, but then shrugged apologetically.
"Still nothing."
A pang seized Daphne's heart, and without another word, she held up a hand as if waving away her concern, and she turned and marched out of there as fast as she could.

A static filled comm signal came in from just outside the Ossus system. "This is the private freighter Per Diem." said a male Human voice, "Our Hyperdrive is out and were stuck in deep space. We just got off the Perlimian Trade Route headed for the Tion Cluster. We need help soon. Please is any one there!? As the voice finished it pitched upward and sounded hysterical and afraid. The comm signal was also accompanied by an autmated distress signal eminating from the same position.

While on their tour of the Temple Agents Bames Jond and M'ddie Eurphy make a stop at the Communications room. While there they are introduced to the Comm Twins. After a short conversaton Agent Jond asks if they would be able to set up a transmission to a specific Comm frequency on Coruscant. After getting all the stuff set up for a hypercomm transmission Agent Bames gets through. His partner on the other hand tries to continue the conversation to distract the others from listening in just incase the call discuss sensitive material. At this end all that the guards and the twins can hear is what the man with them says and would not likely be able to make out what the person(s) on the other end were saying. Taking the comm mouthpiece and reciever he got throught ot his office. "Good..." he glanced down at his wrist chrono, "Good Afternoon, boss." "Yessir the Director asked us to give a report if at all possible before we were finished." "Yessir. Thank you, sir."He said before a pause while he was transfered. "Afternoon, Miss Parks, I hope your doing well today, too." "Why, thank you. Yes, I did need to speak with the Admiral." He paused again. "Yessir, thank you." "No, sir. Eurphy and I are touring the grounds while the council deliberates, sir." "Well, sir, honestly I think it could have gone better. It probably would have helped if we had a mission to give them as a good example." "Yessir, I realize that we can't set one aside for them unless we actually have an agreement." "You do, sir" "She turned it down, sir?" "Oh, I'll make sure to give them what I can and stay discreet, sir." "Yessir" "Yessir, I'll report fully when we're finished here, sir." He terminated the connection and thanked the comm twins again before falling back in with the guards for more of the tour. Bames really did think that Master Kardel's idea of watching the Jedi train, was a good idea.

She leaned on the doorframe, still tired. "Well. It's a relief to see people."
"Hi there!" The first turned around, revealing a shock of red hair.
"Who are you?" The second asked, clearly the more suspicious of the pair - with the same hair and age-frame, it seems.
She smiled at the two.
"I could say the same of you, young ones." "Haven't I seen you somewhere before?" the first asked.
"We're comm ops," the second answered at the same time as the first.
"Oh. I'm... Mez. Just here to check my messages." 'Mez' smiled kindly, trying to project as much innocence and calm as she could manage.
"Sorry, we've got nothing here for a Mez..." the second muttered, looking down at the unclaimed list.
"How about a from? Vo-Bid Fie'r?" Mez looked hopeful.
"Ohhh, the mystery call!" the second one looked suddenly thrilled.
"Yeah, we've got that one. Why'd you want to know about that? It's been kicking around for years, nobody's wanted to pick it up," the first added, looking back at Mez with a bemused expression.
"She could be a mystery-solving-comm-operator?" the first suggested.
"Why would there be a mystery-solving-comm-operator?" the second countered.
"Why would a pair of twin, non-Force users be hanging about the Temple as actual Comm Operators?"
"...Good point. So, the Vo-Bid file." The second leaned over the desk and called it up. "Be warned, it's entirely too weird."
I have returned to my mission. If this reaches you, I hope that you understand. The fate of one has nothing next to the fate of all. I came back to bury what was left of you, and that is now accomplished. The girl has your saber, as you requested. I have taken the crystal and buried it too. May the Force be with you.
"Was there anything before or after that?" Mez asked, fingers twitching to replay the file.
"There used to be, but it got way too corrupted. every now and then we try to resurrect it, but after the first few times made the glitches mid-record worse, well..." the second shrugged.
"It's uncopyable too, or we'd work from a copy instead."
"It would be," Mez whispered. "He always was far more paranoid than I should have allowed."
"Hey, you kinda look a little like the guy in the recording," the first twin managed after a few seconds of awkward silence.
She turned to go, then hesitated in the doorway, and turned around. "My name is Mez-Jid Fie'r. The message was for me."
She left the two to their surprised whispers.
