Alrighty - I've been working on Jet's Bio and quite frankly I've been wishing I could expand on some points outside of her bio - but don't want to create a billion threads in a forum encyclopedia - When I played City of Heroes they had an RP wiki - where people put up entries for their characters, their organizations - pretty much anything they wanted. It was an easy to use/edit and maneuver way to keep up with a lot of small details. Probably easier then searching through allot of different threads anyways - so I looked into creating a Wiki for FSC - there could make character pages, Company pages - Tech and ship pages (Taaru looking at you here) and group it all together with a search and category function built in. We could then do away with the Character bios here on the forums nad link instead to our Wiki, also it would mean that we could all collaborate and edit in on the site's History - I mainly know the DJO side of things, with a bit of Sith and Imperial thrown in, I don't know anything that happened in the Jedi between when temba quit the council and when I made Mercy - so having others help to fill in the blanks on a page we can all edit would be beneficial. Yay or nay? www.wikispaces.com/site/features <-- a possible site to use, though I"m open to suggestions.

I think a wiki would be a good idea, would be so much easier to look things up especially those things that are tied into multiple other things that would take forever to look up by current means. Plus it would be way more easy to organize and whatnot. Thumbs up form me on this idea.

A wiki sounds pretty good, though it would take some time to fill it with enough articles to make it worthwhile. I imagine that there would be a lot of hyperlinking to Wookiepedia (since that's what I always have open when I'm posting).
It would mean a commitment from quite a few people. What's more, it would need quite a few strict rules, and whoever admins it would have to make sure articles aren't being tampered with (i.e. editing the competition's fleet strength to be weaker or whatever).
To Jet
Do you really want the RP community as a whole to have access to the proprietary technology held only by the DJO?

lol well I wasn't expecting you to post a complete guide to creation for them - but brief outlines for others who end up fighting them and pictures of them might be beneficial.
And yes I am aware it would require a bit of a commitment from everyone but it's not like we'd have to have it done anytime soon - theres only the core group of us here presently and I'm sure we all trust each other enough not to tamper, although who edits what is kept track of i believe so if their was tampering it would be easy to figure out who had done it.
We could do it as either an IC database..or just an OOC compilation, if we do it at all.

it could work out really well...but it could also turn out to be unbearably tedious
