"Forty-seven." Mez muttered, then spoke slightly louder. "Call me Master again and you'll find yourself sprawled on top of one of the real floor sensors. Speaking of which." Mez took a flying leap over a set of tiles, barely making it.
"Kindly help Jace over that patch, Knight-whom-I-ought-to-reprimand-officially. And make a note to have the rest of the floor polished again, the patch without marks on it is obvious, for all that this stuff is anti-scuff."

Jace stopped just in time as Mez leapt over the tiles. He grunted at her and waved the Knight off before either of them could say, or do, anything more. "I can make it." And he could, after all if Mez had done it without any aide from the Force he should have no problem, after all he was far younger then she was. He took two steps back then started forward and jumped. When he landed he stood slightly behind Mez, the hills of both his feet just barely touching the tile. "Uh, just how sensitive are these things?" He quickly glanced to the left and right waiting for something to happen.

Suruc took a step back, digging in a pouch for his pass. Getting them both escorted to the lower levels for interrogation in the woman's case and interviewing in Initiate Jace's was a better idea than having them shot by the Destroyer Droids rolling down the corridor towards them.

Mez swore under her breath in one of the few words of Cheunh she knew, dragging Jace off the sensors by the front of his robes.
"Stay behind me and do not activate your lightsaber, Padawan."
Destroyers, modified so that knowledge of the schematics wouldn't help a Force User to break them internally - and to stand their ground against a Force Push.
Neither of which would actually help her, all things considered.
"Two-thousand one hundred eighty-seven." If that didn't work, she might have to give up her key, unless the Chiss was able to order them down.

After he was pulled forward he stood behind Mez silently and held his breath for what seemed like forever. When nothing happened he let out a sigh and grinned sheepishly at his two companions. "Well that was underwhelming."

"Sometimes the best thing one can hope for is underwhelming. Your height is less than mine, so next time I say you need help to do something of that nature, kindly accept it."
Mez eyed the droids who were standing still, shields on and blasters out but not firing.
"And that might not have worked. I'm glad it did, but it might not have. You coming, Knight-who-hasn't-given-a-name-yet?"

Suruc stared, openmouthed, his pass still in his hand and unused.
"I don't know that code," he said, weakly. Number codes hadn't been used in... years, and certainly none of them should work any longer.

"Noted,it won't happen again. Sorry Mez." He glanced at he droids who didn't look like they'd be that tough but looks could be deceiving. He turned back to look at the Knight. "If it makes you feel any better I didn't know it either."

Suruc made his own leap across the sensors, as there was no sense in antagonising the droids.
"I would be surprised if you had, though not as surprised as I am that it worked to stop them. However, as they are now here: These two are under arrest," he addressed the droids.

Mez smirked as the droids completely failed to listen to the Knight.
"We are to be escorted to the information access area and are not to be disturbed until we leave that room. Defence only, no kill-shots." She smiled at the Chiss. "The code only works for two voices. As you are not Councillor Obi Parcon or... well, or me, I would be surprised if you had known it." She echoed his words and tone precisely.

Jace frowned at the Chiss. "Well that wasn't very nice." He decided to put more distance between himself and the Knight and stood directly beside Mez.

"He's merely following procedure, Jace. I'd have done the same in his boots. Remember, he thinks I'm dead. He hasn't worked out I'm a zombie."

"Huh, I thought those only existed on Sith planets. To guard their tombs and stuff." As they continued on down the hallway Jace finally let out a sigh and stopped. Don't you think we should get on with this? If Nessa gets to this Rico guy before we do she's probably going to kill him. I kind of doubt he's going to come back as a zombie.

"I don't necessarily know all of the traps in this level or the others, and somebody who isn't a million klicks away and has bright blue skin and glowing red eyes, not naming any names here, mostly because he's been terribly impolite and hasn't told us, isn't being terribly helpful." Mez explained. "We have enough of a start on her in that she is unlikely to have gotten back to her ship yet, let alone left the planet, and if I'm correct then she'll not have the information we have down here for at the least a few days yet. A little preparation now can save us a great deal of grief yet.
"And all that aside," she added, as the Destroyers rolled along in front of them, "I am not that kind of zombie." It was merely a good descriptor for somebody who could remember dying and then living again.
