Rothk nodded and reached for the tool Jet had indicated to him, holding it up to her to make sure it was the right one. When she nodded he handed her the tools and crouched down to watch her work.
"It's like how we feed and take care of the Rancors back home."

The last few days had mostly been spent with Avery passed out in the bathroom, getting up every once in awhile to spill her guts as an offering to the porcelain Gods. This particular morning however, she felt good enough to get up and take a shower before getting back into pajamas and crashing out in bed. She laid face down, sighing into the pillow as Collin beeped and rolled close to her bed. A slot opened up and his little arm extended out and patted her head.
"Thanks..."

"Ah, we just call them plug suits" he corrected Aaron regarding the hydrostatic gel suits, pulling the collar of his overalls down enough to reveal that he was wearing one. "Since they plug into the mag locs of the the MACS (Mobile Armored Combat Skin). It goes without saying they are very comfortable." Out of the corner of his eye, Taaru caught Miko looking at him as if he wanted something. Miko tilted his head, indicating a direction, and Taaru quickly followed it, spotting the newly arrived Corellian mercs Jet had hired. Taaru recognized most of them from personnel files, but hadn't committed them to memory. From what he'd seen of the few batches of Corellian Marines he'd personally trained, he wasn't too impressed by what Corellia, otherwise a great naval power, had to offer in terms of its groundpounders.
But Taaru figured it wasn't necessary to start things off with hostility, so he motioned an "A-OK" to Miko, confirming what the other Thruvaran had probably already guessed.
Returning to Aaron: "As for armor, all our suits," here indicating the Thruvarans and any of the DJO willing to use one," are like big cousins to beskar'gam. The grunts coming with us don't have eet, but they don't fight fights like we do, eh? Only the very best for the Kabal."

Aaron nodded at the display of the plug suit and turned his attention back to the suit. He crouched down, resting his forearms on his knees and narrowed his eyes as he took a closer look at the joints on the lower half of the suit. He smiled as a single laugh escaped his lips when he heard Taaru use the term beskar'gam. At least he wasn't the only one with above par knowledge of mando culture.
"Would you mind if I removed the majority of the medical system," he asked Taaru after standing back up and crossing his arms.

Jet nodded to Rothk as he commented about the rancors, taking the tool from him and eying the Chasers insides for a few moments before getting back to work on them, casing her gaze about the hanger after a few moments - despite everyone seeming to work friendly enough an underlying tension was floating about.
"Precisely Rothk and ShadowChaser here has served me as faithfully as ny Rancor in your clan - she deserves to be looked after accordingly"

Rothk nodded and watched her do her work. He followed her eyes as they moved about the hanger watching the people work.
"Are they all coming with us?"
He watched the men and women as they continued to load crates, work on ships and discuss the inner workings of what was going on. He caught site of the Twi'lek he had spoken to earlier, he was still surprised at how odd she looked but he could only guess he would see alot stranger things and people once they set out on this trip. He turned his attention back to Jet.

"yes they are"
Jet responded, slamming the panel closed and ratcheting it hut.
"And a few more besides - theres the ship captain and her crew, as well as the rest of the ships staff - the people here are only the delegates from the Thruvarans and my own team - between the two groups we ought to be covered if we meet up with any trouble."

Feeling a small lump in his throat at the mention of so many people Rothk swallowed deep. He had known that many people were going on this trip but that sounded like a whole lot of people, and on one ship. Sure Ras had said the ship was quite large but Rothk couldn't imagine how large of a ship you would need to fit all those different people comfortably. He took a deep breath and tried to not dwell on it.
"Do you think you will have time to train me with all these people around? I don't want to get in the way of anything important."

"Amber gave you a saber - and showed you the routines for Form 1 - I will expect you to practice those along with the remote everyday - This trip alone is going to be a good expirience for you, but there will be lots of time while we're in hyperspace for me to spend time with you."
Jet remarked putting the tools away.
"On the flip side - I'll expect you to act mature and not get in the way or become petulant when your not getting what you want, this is a working mission and your more then welcome to observe - I'm sure you'll find it fascinating - but if things go sour your to lock yourself in your quarters and keep your head down unless told otherwise. If something goes really bad - I shall come through the shadows for you"

Listening carefully to her words Rothk nodded in agreement.
"I understand. I won't get in the way. And as for not getting what I want, I'm used to that, so I won't be bothered if such a thing happens. And I will be mature about things. It's how I was raised to be, unlike my sister I know where my place is and how to act around others."

Jet sighed slightly and looked down at the Nephew she hadn't even known existed until just a short time ago.
"Everyone does have a place in society Rothk...but i think it should be based on a persons character and ability rather then their gender or bloodline. Your place...can be anywhere you so deem it to be - as long as our willing to work hard enough to get there"
And sometimes she added to herself you get thrown into a position weather you want it or not. Life was a shikse.

"I know, and I do plan to work hard so that I can find my place. I just wish I knew where that place was. Everything is so different here."
His face took on a more determined look.
"No matter what happens, I won't let you down."

"Good man"
Jet remarked ith a smile before motioning to the hanger.
'Now go and see if you can make yourself useful somewhere"

Rothk smiled back at her.
"Yes ma'am."
He wandered off through the maze of ship, crates and people to look for anything he could help with.

Jet watched Rothk wander off and leaned back against the ShadowChaser's hull, green eyes gazing at the activity around her - indeed it was nice to have the hanger full and busy again, but the magic of before - the indisputable camaraderie that had always been the spirit of the DJO? It was still missing and Jet doubted seriously if it would ever truly return.
