((I almost don't want to post until Pat does. We're just sitting here doing nothing otherwise...))
Jet's calculation seems reasonable enough. If Konrad counts the number of blood favors he owes or has owed in the past, they would fit neatly on one hand. Favors of great magnitude are a rare thing....probably why they are so important.
The prospect of food also seems reasonable; Konrad is starving, having only had some form of processed grain for breakfast. The thing he hates most about visiting new planets, aside from their occasional barbarity, was that he has to adjust to a whole new cuisine. Sometimes this is made easy by a majority human population. But on worlds where humans don't dominate, he is often forced to eat the osik the natives prepare. This is one of the reasons why he refuses to ever visit Rodia again.
"Jorunn is biding her time. Thruvaran men look to the god of the battlefield, but our shieldmaidens look to the god of poetry, deceit, treachery and education. Thruvaran women have ever proven that perceived weakness can be turned into a formidable weapon, because it requires lateral thinking."
...
"Uh, yeah. I guess I am," says Till, one hand on his hip, the other behind his head.
"Though I don't know how much help I'll be. I'm sort of new to all of this...," this more to himself than to Rothk.

Rothk smiled slightly.
"I don't know how much help I will be either. But Jet wants to bring me along so I guess I must be of some use."
He chuckled slightly.
"I'm new to all of this too. Up until a few days ago I was on my home of Dathomir, so everything here is new and different for me."

Aaron stood still as her voice began to move around, only bending at the waist in an attempt to spot her, and hissed mockingly. "You are not to speak of the Y-color," he says in response. "But thank you for the compliment anyway."
Aaron hears a dull clunk and looks down to find the fist sized rock starting to sink into the swamp. He crouches down, awkwardly, and picks the rock up examining it for a moment. "Now that was just plain rude," he said before tossing the rock off to the side. "I half expected you to throw yourself at me with all this talk of my figure."
((Btw, Taaru, if you want we can move this to the Estates thread. I'm fine either way.))

((This is fine. I was simply remarking on it for future reference.))
"I half expected you to throw yourself at me with all this talk of my---"
The last bit of Aaron's narration was cut abruptly short by the sudden explosion of water in front of him, followed by a disturbing "Thunk!" sound.
Standing, or rather hovering, in front of him was Jorunn, her suit covered in swamp muck, having just concealed herself in a pond of sorts.
Imbedded in massive taproot to his right was a large, humming vibroaxe, the suit's melee complement.
"I would say there are more appropriate things to throw at you...," so Jorunn, the collapsible riot shield unfolding on her gauntlet as she spoke. Roughly diamond shaped, the shield ended in two sharpened prongs, which, if the shield was held parallel to the arm, could function as a potent battering weapon.
This Jorunn did, pointing the prongs at Aaron.
"I tire of children's games. I am raising the stakes."
This was not a suggestion.

Finally, Aaron thought to himself. He couldn't be seen smiling behind his visor when Joruun appeared in front of him, which he found disappointing. After all he enjoyed people being able to read his expressions. It allowed him to have so much more fun that way. He shrugged, an odd movement for the suit. He took a step to his right and pulled the vibroaxe out of the root and tossed it back to her. He took out his own suit's vibroaxe and activated it, his humming matching that of Joruun's. He spun the weapon in the giant hand, testing out the mobility of the hands.
"And what do you have in mind," Aaron asked Joruun simply, after activating his repulsors, and hovered idly.

jet nodded slightly in response to Konrads remarks before laughing lightly.
"Aaron on the other hand - I think he just enjoys aggravating his opponents as much as humanly possible"
A great cheer goes up from the crowd as the combatants finally seem to be on the verge of confrontation, this cheer is only mildly outdone by the one which signifys the arrival of dinner. As the mansion had often played host to many large congregations in the past such swiftly pulled together banquets were easy enough to accomplish. They had already been preparing to feed this number of occupants already after all - only the location had changed.
Tables were set up in the open area surrounding the holoscreens along with an assortment of chairs for those who wished to eat. A good variety of dishes were brought out. A smaller table was set up alongside Miko,Avery, Jet and Konrad which the protocol droid had seemed to dictate as the 'head table' bearing smaller replications of the same dishes. Jet rolled her eyes slightly.
"A1's a little...over enthusiastic at times when he gets the chance to host dinners now adays"
She remarked.

"Pretty much the same here really, but I'm sure you already knew that."
She nodded slowly when he mentioned her father. The hurt was still there, making her stomach churn a little and she looked away for a brief moment before flicking her eyes back to his face.
"I'm glad you met him. He's extraordinary."
As instant as the uneasiness came- it went.
"Yes well I suppose ancient things won't really benefit YOU in the long run, you need a different sort of technology to keep you alive and going... Me, I need a few tools and something old and I'm happy."

*Xander locked onto Jets force presence and a bunch of others stepping threw the shadows*
*He stepped out of the shadows Far enough away from the crowd leaning against the hangar wall arms crossed listening and watching Xander didn't like crowds he really didn't feel comfortable around people period but if there was one person in the room he felt comfortable with it would be Jet.*
*Xander was sure failure rippled to Jet threw the force he had been in contact with some shady characters from his past to try and Find Chase he sighed to himself nothing had come up.and he had been looking for a while. He wished he could've found something considering all that Jet had done for him in the past and present.*

Jet was not startled by Xander's apperence in the hangers, nor was she surprised that he choose to skulk about the walls away from everyone else. anti-social would sum Xander up pretty well - and although it had been quite a while since she last saw him it looked as though he hadn't changed much. By what she sensed coming off of him she deduced he'd had no luck - it was dissapointing but hardly unexpected. Waving to get his attention she motioned him over. The group she was with was small and he couldn't hide out from everyone forever.

"No luck."*Not familiar with everyone he didn't feel comfortable yet and maybe he never would.

Jet sighed and ran her hands through her hair.
"It's alright Xander, no one's been able to turn anything up. thanks for trying"
She motioned to the small group she was sitting with.
"Xander..this is Miko and Konrad - comrades of Taaru, and Avery...also a friend of Taaru. why don't you sit down and eat something?"
She motioned to the table laden with food the droids had just brought out.

Stepping from the shadows Erika returned to the mansion from her resent trip out. The main part of the mansion was all but empty except for a few droids running errands. She could sense all the activity in the hanger but decided to not join them just yet, she had a matter to attend to that couldnt be put off any longer. Walking to the turbolift she went up to the floor that had her room as well as the rooms of the twins. Rothk was in the hanger with the others which didn't surprise Erika at all, he seemed to be adjusting to life here quite well. Talpha on the other hand was still locked in her room. Stopping outside her daughters room she knocked softly on the door.
"Talpha, you have been in here long enough. It's time to come out and face this."

It had been some time since Talpha had locked herself in this hell of a room. At least one day had passed, she only knew this from the setting and rising of the sun. In that time she had aged a good deal, thanks to the force aging spell her mother had put on both her and her brother. Now around 15 years old she could more rationally think things out. Her anger had subsided slightly in that time. Just when she was about ready to venture out of her room a knock came on the door and her mothers voice followed. The anger once again raised in her.
"I will come out when you decide to bring me back home to Dathomir."

Hearing the answer she knew was coming made her anger rise much like Talpha's. Placing her hand on the rooms door she sent out a small emp blast, destroying the lock and allowing her to slide the door open. Setting her eyes on Talpha she narrowed them.
"You damn well know you cannot go back there. You will stay here until you are trained enough to return. You should be honored that you will be getting training from Jet, not looking at it as a punishment."

"This is a punishment!"
She rose to her feet and stood with her arms crossed, staring defiantly at her mother.
"I don't give a damn about this training you want me to have. I am strong enough to handle anything that Dathomir can throw at me. You will return me to Dathomir at once!"
