Aaron smiled broadly. "Are you suggesting we move to somewhere more private," he asked while raising his eyebrows quickly. His jokingly gleeful expression was short lived however as he looked down at the shadow encompassing them. He gave Jet a look that clearly said oh come on before he leaned back, allowing his arm to slide from the chair, and let out a sound that was a cross between a groan and a sigh. As if he were powering down a part of his body.
"So aside from blue-balling me," he said as he played with the material of the plug suit that covered his palm. "Why were you practically smothering me with the come hither projections?"

Jet smiled somewhat at the look he gave her, having ignored his earlier comment. When his arm slid from the back of her chair Jet allowed the cold to fade and the water gathered from Aarons display to evaporate neatly away.
"What do you think of the suits?"

Aaron shrugged. "To be completely honest I'd just as soon run into a fight with just my lightsabers. I'm more effective that way," he remarked. "But it boosts morale and camaraderie within the crew for them to see us heavy hitters using the same equipment. They'll think they're every bit as capable as we are without acting like suicidal fools or cowering in the back." After a moment he nodded as if approving his own statement.

"A good answer" Jet remarked - she approved quite allot on his deductions. Quite frankly she hadn't expected him to make such remarks - Aaron it seemed was indeed thinking differently then he had only a few years ago.
"And I'm glad you said what you did, regardless I'm going to tell you something Grifter once told me - there is a time and a place for Armour and mechanical protection of any sort, however when you no longer need to worry about every little hit some fighters tend to get lazy - and then someday without their armor that lazy form of fighting catches up to them. I've seen allot of great fighters killed because they got to Dependant on anything other then themselves, Machines fail..weapons fail...even friends fail..in the end the only thing you should trust completely is yourself"
She paused for a few moments and put away the dagger she had been sharpening.
"I'm not giving you this advice because I see signs of laziness - don't get me wrong you did well - I've never been disappointed in your abilities. It's merely a forewarning - use armour when you have too - but never ever let it get to the point where you need it."

Inwardly, and behind carefully constructed mental walls, Aaron's mind began to race. Could she know about his armor? No, how could she? Only one other person in the galaxy had seen his armor and she didn't even know who he was. Jet was smart though. Naturally she would figure Aaron wasn't just sitting around doing nothing. That didn't mean she knew about his training or the holocron. Slowly his mind calmed down.
Outwardly Aaron chose to play it safe and focus more on the fact that Jet had payed him a small compliment. "Aw Jet," he said heavily as he wiped away a nonexistent tear and sniffed. "You're gonna make me cry."

"If you do that I'm retracting everything I said" Jet remarked with an amused look. The amusement passed however and Jet's face regained it serious look. "Just remember what I said....and try not to upset the Thruvarans too much more will you?" She added with a wry look.

Aaron nodded with an exasperated sigh as he used the force to pull a small glass of clear red liquid into his hand. He wasn't ignoring what she had said, but both he and Jet knew he had been around the block a few times. Perhaps something was bothering her.
"Ya know," he said after taking a sip of his drink. "If you keep talking like this I'm NOT going to sleep with you during this little vacation."

Jet effected a look of mock panic "Oh dear..and that was the only thing I was looking forward to!" She stated, sarcasm nearly dripping from the word's. she waved a hand at him and glanced around the hanger. "Ah well...I'll just have to look elsewhere then". Rolling her eyes slightly Jet poured herself a drink as well, since wisely the droid had left a bottle of Corellian reserve and her glass at her table.
"So what did you tell her to get her so utterly ticked off at you anyways?" She asked with a nod of her head towards the Thruvarans.

Aaron smiled into his glass before taking another small sip. It was nice to see Jet react with more than just a glare. "Well maybe if you wear that maid outfit we talked about I'll reconsider," he teased.
"Oh I just offered her a truce," he said in response to her question. "In Mando'a." He grinned sheepishly before finishing of his drink and set it on the table with a clack.

"I wouldn't hold your breath" The comment was flippant and she took a sip of her own drink while considering his answer. "I see, and do you plan on goading her any more? Should I just go ahead and assume both Taaru and I will be busy stepping in between such outbreaks during the trip - because while I admit duels are entertaining that could become somewhat tedious after a bit"

Aaron considered how to answer for a moment. "Let's just say that if I have my way there won't be enough room between her and I for you and Taaru to jump between us," he grinned. "Although I'm sure you could squeeze yourself in if you wanted to."

Jet simply shook her head.
"This is going to be a long trip..."
Between Aaron and Jorunn, whatever was going on with Miko and Avery - and the typical tensions related with trying to integrate two vastly different cultures in a small area - whatever enemies they met would be the least of their worries.

"Oh I can only hope so," he said playfully. He leaned back in the chair, balancing it on its rear legs.
"So how are you doing," he asked in a gentle tone.

((Suddenly I am led to believe I should be finding other buyers for my tech.... ))
Masako returned to the hangar about the same time as Aaron, lagging behind only a little as he was skimming passive comm signals for Jorunn's suit. Returning to the hangar, he bid Aaron good night and snapped a casual salute to Jet as he inquired with Konrad:
<<Did Jorunn not return>>
Konrad, suspended above Masako on a portable telescoping lift and working on the belly of his Starviper shook his head.
<<After all that drama, I'd think she'd want to keep her distance, no?>>
Taaru sighed and gritted his teeth into a grimace of frustration and as a reaction to a sense of foreboding that had begun to develop.
<<I didn't realize the shields were rated against the axes to that degree,>> Konrad said as a sort of aside...except judging by the way he was looking directly at Taaru, it suggested something ulterior than mere curiousity.
Taaru looked at him stonily, having popped his visor, and said nothing, turning instead to the hangar's exit and queuing up the Mansion's comm channel, leaving a quick message for Jet and Miko that he was going to look for Jorunn and probably wouldn't be back till morning.
With that, he plods out of the mansion, takes a few loping strides and pops himself onto his repulsor skates, once again scanning for passive comm channels, as well as Minovski particle residue.
He only hoped Jorunn hadn't taken it too badly, and had done something rash.

Jet cast a sideways look at the balancing Aaron, briefly recalling doing similar things herself back in the CCC - of course whenever she did it Grifter had normally blown up the chair legs on her. It was an amusing memory.
"Ah well...theres no Vong invasion and we're not refugees on our own planet so I suppose I'm a leg up from a few years ago"
She finally stated with a wan smile, Jet wasn't one to pour her worries out on those around her - there were indeed many things weighing heavily on her mind but she wasn't about to burden those around her with them. Her com beeped and quickly reading the message from Taaru she sighed slightly and put it awa once again.
