Taaru strode to the bathroom, the sound of spitting and running water clearly audible.
He returned again, wiping the corners of his mouth with a small hand towel.
"There is no plan to discuss. We go to Mobus after stress-testing critical systems on the Faustus. We only inform its Captain of the true mission, not the crew, and continue under the pretense of testing ship's stealth capability for extended tour beyond Corellian borders."

"Did you decide on a captain yet?"
She has resumed her book when he left, but she put it down once again, and pushed her glasses on top of her head.

"Eet is not my choice to make. Eet ees Jet's Navy, she will choose. I can only make suggestions regarding.....certain specialist crewmembers."
He sat opposite her in a high-backed, cushioned sofa.
"Either way, Jet will pick a competent captain. Eet ees only shame that Pinkala has been promoted to Group Admiral. I vould have liked to work with him again."

the words "certain specialist crewmembers" hit her a bit. She knew he was referencing her and she put her glasses back on and turned to her book.
"I'm sure you could convince him to work with you again. I bet you're already thinking of strings to pull."

He could tell that she had misread his carefully chosen diction by the way she winced her eyes, but he wasn't about to correct her. It was probably better he didn't know what the High Council was demanding of him....or how Jet eventually reacted once he presented their offer.
"Pinkala commands a whole battlgroup, and not just any battlegroup, but the BG Home. It vould be irresponsible to assign a Group Admiral to a single ship, let alone a mission like this."
He wasn't quite sure why he was explaining military protocol to someone who had no experience with it whatsoever. He could've dismissed such a foolish suggestion, but for whatever reason, he thought he'd take it easier on her.

She sighed, closing her book and setting it on the floor. When she looked back to him, she took off her glasses again.
"Are you mad at me?"
She turned to get into a sitting postion, keeping her legs folded Indian style underneath her.
"I mean...Are you mad at me about the other night?"

He raises an eyebrow, in jest.
"I am surprised you even remember....and for now, I give you benefit of doubt. Half a bottle of whiskey has been known to have deleterious effects on young women's minds. The taste tends to keep them away, but those that venture farther still are in for many surprises," he emphasized by sweeping a hand across the room and fluttering his fingers, imitating the wingbeats of mystical creatures and other nonsense a state of total inebriation could manifest in a person's mind.

Jet's thoughts were intturupted by Ice as he fussed about the serving droids and thier fear or Taaru - apparantly this put Ice's household scheduale out of whack, it was a common complaint and Jet was used to it so she smiled tolerently and patted the little droid.
"You need a break Ice, just like me"
The droid beeped a few times and Jet shook her head apparatly the apperance of another droid called 'collin' according to the text screen on Ice had him up in arm's too, Ice disliked non-DJO droids in the mansion.
"It's fine Ice, but if it will make you feel better order a sweep of the mansion"
Ice retorted that he'd already done so thank you very much and then hustled off in response to some other problem or another - something about making sure that the repair droids did a proper job in the training room, which no doubt had something to do with the power she'd felt expelled there not to long ago - Taaru obviously. Closing her eyes again as Ice left her in peace Jet smiled slightly the droid was a commanding ill tempered machine used to respect not afforded most droids, he disliked pretty much everyone and had a scathing vocabulary that could make your skin crawl. Pets like droids Jet reflected often took after thier masters, she loved him anyways for his loyalty and reliability - besides she found him amusing.
Waiting until she sensed both Taaru and Avery in one room and no doubt working together on this little side project Jet shadowwalked herself into the room, appearing in one of the room's chairs she pulled out a blaster and begain to clean it nonchalantly, raising an eyebrow at Taaru brushing his teeth.
"So where we going?"

She furrowed her brows as Taaru swept the room with his arm and looked at him a bit like he was crazy- but once Jet entered the room the face, as well as the subject, were dropped. She looked up to her as she came in.
"Mobus, it seems. I translated the text earlier and discovered a poem. Taaru's already put a plan on how to get there already."
She lifted Taaru's chart off the floor and leaned forward to hand it off to Jet.

Jet glanced at Avery for a few moments thier seemed to be a slight tension in the air, but whatever it was that caused it was clearly none of her business so she didn't bother attempting to get to the bottom of it.
In any case the women seemed to be handing her some sort of paper - rather then lean foreward to get it Jet simply called it towards her snatching the fluttering flimsi out of the air once it was within her reach, absently toying with the blaster in one hand she eyed the ppaer in the other.
"Lovely, what else do we need before we leave?"

He was mildly impressed when Avery didn't flinch as Jet appeared out of a shadow. It was a testament to how well she could adapt to peculiar situations. If his hunches proved correct, she would be in need of that ability before this was all over.
Kicking his feet, sans boots but with socks, onto a nearby ottoman, Taaru , folder his arms behind his head and glanced over at Jet, who's sudden appearance hadn't dazed him.
"One of these days, you vill have to teach me how to do that. But to answer your question....ship is ready, requires only a name for official christening ceremony. Cover story is ready; vee say vee are taking it on deep reconnaissance for further testing of stealth systems. Materiel is also ready; full Starviper squadron, itinerary of crew and specialists, two ValCats as boarding and drop ships.
Vat ees missing? Vee need a captain. And I also have personal favor for asking....."
Taaru let it trail off there. He was still uncertain how Jet would react to his request. She would grant it in the end, as she always did. But this was one of his more unusual requests.

Avery felt a little uneasy as Taaru left his last request hanging. If he didn't blurt it out like all of his other requests, it must be pretty odd. She shifted a little in her seat and leaned back against the couch.

"We'll see"
Jet responded with a slight smile at Taaru's refrence to shadowwalking, it was a skill she did not pass out easily, generally only to her students...and family. Of course there were exceptions to every rule.
"Of course nearly everyone I've taught so far has either died, dissapeared or turned out to be a dissapointment requiring lethal intervention, still intrested?"
She paused and then shrugged.
"Of course I could just have awful judgement in students, Kabal recruits and a trouble prone family...who knows."
Laying her blaster aside and setting the map on a nearby table Jet opened the side of her coat to reveal several pokets and various hidden weaponry, from one of said pockets she pulled a docket of flimsi which she tossed to Taaru.
"I've got the captain covered, clearly I couldn't pull one of my Commanders for this duty since I'm leaving the system - the best must remain behind including Pinkala although both of us would like to bring him along, however I choose someone he recommended, she's served with some distinguishment within The Ember's battlegroup in the last year or so and I think she'll do well, Arale'Galor"
He gaze flicked to Avery for a few moments as she shifted weight, clearly somewhat uneasy by Taaru's last few words - and in truth Jet herself was somewhat suspicious, it was unusual for Taaru of all people to beat around the proverbial bush. normally she could count on him to be rather straightforeward. She returned her gaze to him with a slightly suspicious arc to her brow.
"Out with it Taaru, let me hear this personal request of yours"

Taaru caught the proferred flimsi and set it aside for the moment, intent on looking over this captain's candidate records later.
First thing's first...
"Jet, you are of course familiar with the Thruvaran High Council, which governs the Thruvaran Diaspora after the Day of Embers, and signed treaty of alliance with Corellian Diet in recognition of the system's friendly relationship with Thruvarans," he said, pronouncing his race's name in its native tongue, with proper accents on vowels.
Taaru paused, allowing Jet time to collect the wayward bits of political knowledge and put them together into a recognizable picture.
"They vould like to send delegation of Reiter.....warriors, to assist in this mission."

Avery rubbed her forehead at the mention of warriors. The whole thing was still sinking in as of late. She knew she had gotten herself into something a bit more serious than she assumed.
Leaning forward again, she laced her fingers together and settled them in her lap, waiting for Jet's decision.
