"50,000 may be a a bit too much. Outbound Flight only had that many because it was a colony ship as well....but we would still need something of at least cruiser size, with a specialized crew and enough firepower to punch through whatever we would eventually run into...."
"But the problem isn't so much funding....I can get us funding and ships and crews. What I need to know is WHAT is out there?"
"It's why I asked you to meet me here. I figured you would know something I didn't concerning your father's work."

"I'll just have to do alot of reading about the Celestials and the Rakata... The Celestials made a device that uses a huge amount of hyperspace power to move planets...and the Rakata made the earliest hyperspace-utilizing artifacts.
I mean obviously one came from the other, much like when one figures how to make a wheel, the next realizes they can use it to draw a cart. But that doesn't mean they aren't connected.
I just think they might be an important part of all this. They are the....pioneers of this device. We need to know them, to understand the centerpoint station....and then to understand the artifacts and symbols...."
She sighed again and pushed her glasses to sit on her head, pushing her bangs away from her face.
"What's the first step Taaru?"

Muddled as it was, the promises of such an expedition could be monumental, and that fact was not lost on Taaru.
"The first step...is for you to go home, gather your things, and fly your ship to a location that ees a bit more secure than neighborhood starport."
Taaru tapped the "Save All" key on the datapad and shoved it into a back pocket.
"After that, I vill be introducing you to a very dear friend of mine, who has the clout and resources to get us what we need...."

"Where do I go?"
It all seemed very fast. The fight, the body, data, Celestials, Centerpoint stations, hyperspace, artifacts... the information was starting to become a jumbled mess in her head.

"The DJO Mansion."
He said it like it was a place known to every child in the galaxy....which it was, for the most part.
"Eet's where I actually live....I just have this second apartment to be closer to the bar...."
Taaru had never mentioned his relationship to the DJO or his service to Corellia's government to Avery, but if she had enough sense, she would have figured it out by now.

"I don't... I don't know how to get there. I don't even really know about the place... That's a really select organization- I doubt they'd let me stay in their mansion."

Taaru chuckled and pulled the datapad out of his pocket again.
"I am sending you coordinates to mansion now, as well as IFF code that will allow you to land in hangar. And you needn't worry about the DJO. The only person living in mansion other than myself is Jet. Contrary to popular belief, the DJO is not very numerous, but remains very powerful."
"Though, I must admit," he reflected with a grin," Jet is probably suffering from 'crazy lady living in big old house' syndrome. You will enjoy her, I'm sure."

"I'm sure..."
She looked concerned but she accepted it.
"I'll...be there later in the evening I guess."

"Good. And you may want to requisition any reading you may need to help us figure this out. I would like to establish flight plan before we get started."
Taaru stood and wandered into his bedroom, the crinkle of glass underneath his feet. He needed a shower...and wanted one. But he wasn't exactly comfortable with the idea while there was a body still lying in the anteroom. He'd head out to the Mansion first, and have the clean-up crew deal with this one. Luckily, he didn't keep any of his personal items here, few though they were.
He started packing the few things he was going to need back at the mansion.

She turned and moved towards where the front door once was. She glanced back at the body, still in the same position as before...it now looked almost like a wax statue.
"I'll get back to my ship and get my stuff together... I guess I'll meet you at the mansion?"

From the bedroom.
"Sounds good....," as if nothing had happened. As if Taaru's life was positively domestic.

"Sounds great."
She quietly left, stepped down the hallway, down the stairs, and out the CCC's main doorway.

Within the hour, Taaru had left the CCC and was on his way to the mansion via speederbike.
Within two hours, a special branch of the Coronet Metropolitan Police had investigated the crime scene, taken tissue and blood samples from the victim, and left.
Within two weeks, damage to hallway and Taaru's room had been repaired. New furniture had been installed, and everything was rather tastefully done.
The assassin herself remained nameless, aside from a small note in a police dossier stored a mile underground at the Met's HQ, with restrictions on who may view it.
The body was incinerated.
Just another one of Taaru's broken toys.

Heero Treys walked into The CCC. He had picked it at random and did not know who owned it, nor who frequented the establishment. The boredom he felt was clear to any one who would look into his dark blue, bloodshot eyes. He looked around as he walked to the bar. Taking note on who he thought he should keep an eye on. He sat down at the bar and waved over the bartender. "Let me get an Ebla beer." he said The bartender returned with his drink he asked "Know of any one looking for an extra gun?" and then drank from the bottle that was set in front of him.

"Well this sounds like a bad joke waiting to happen," said a dry voice from the side, Thera looking up from her glass of Whyren's Reserve. "A Sith walks into a bar where a Jedi is sitting..."
