Mercy nodded slightly as she considered the girls answer - well she hadn't been much of a flier before Chase got a hold of her either, and being able to pilot seemed like a useful skill to know regardless if she turned out to be god enough for the Vipers or not as far as Mercy was concerned.
"Good...there are some simulators in the Hanger, Deck Chief Tyrol will hook you up with a helmet and flightsuit and such things, just tll him Mercy sent you and he'll take good care you - he's a good friend of mine. I want you to spend a few hours in the Simulators a day, they'll record your scores and have them sent to me for evaluation. I expect i should talk with some of your youngling teachers too..."
Mercy absently twirled a bit of her hair in her fingers, it was a habit she'd had for pretty much as long as she could recall.

Qyren bowed respectfully. "Yes, Master. I'll report to the Deck Chief right away. Is there anything else you'd like for me to do for my training?"
It was the first time Mercy actually seemed interested in getting her to do something, which was a step in the right direction. Hopefully, despite her Master's clear... surprise at being assigned a padawan, Qyren could prove her worth so that Master Freestrike would accept having her as a padawan instead of feeling Qyren was a burden.
Still, that first step could have gone more smoothly. She would have to remember to make a better second impression with her flight scores.

Mercy wasn't used to being bowed too, in fact she found it a bit unsettling, by the force what was the council thinking giving her this responsibility? Didn't they realize that pretty much everyone who spent lengthy amounts of time near her ended up dying or being painted as a sith target...sure such dangers were expected in thier lifestyles but Mercy wasn't keen to be the one placing a padawan on the front lines herself, she reflected briefly that Chase must have felt the same way when he had been assigned her and Daphne..and recalled very well the guilt he had felt every time one of them gotten injured. Biting her lip slightly she shook her head.
"No I think that will do for right now...It will take me a little while to put together a more formal training program for you"

Qyren nodded. "Yes, Master."
Since there was nothing left to say, Qyren turned and trotted down the hallway, her path bound for the hangar deck. She'd met the deck chief only once before, but she was sure she'd have no trouble finding him. The problem would come later, if Master Freestrike was unable to find something for her to do. Could a Master ask to have her padawan reassigned? That was not a pleasant thought.

Abog sighed as he looked around and walked through the halls. "I'm lost aren't I." He said to himself, scratching his unkept and uncombed brown hair. It had only been four days sense the weird event. The one where he had some sort of headache, the rest was blurry but he found out from one of the medics that he had destroyed the bridge in the Jedi grounds. What had happen? He sighed and opened a door hoping this one led to a place fimiliar. Instead he bumped into a Twi'lek. He looked at her and something happen. His heart jumped.
"Sorry!" He said in her language. He didn't mean to use that language. "I-I'm just lost I have no idea where I am." He said quickly, messing up a few words. He wasn't good at talking to the opposite sex.

"It's all right," she replied in Common, and inclined her head to him slightly as she tried to puzzle out the rest of what he had said. He had some grasp of the Twi'lek language, but without lekku it was difficult to discern exactly what some of his words meant without turning them over and over. "I apologize for not being able to linger." She wondered if this Jedi was new to the temple, since he was seemingly turned around. It was hard for Qyren to get lost after spending such a long time here.
"This is the personal quarters area. If you're looking for something in particular the main Council Room and the central area is that way, and I am heading to the hangar deck." She gestured both ways appropriately. "Unfortunately, I am running to lessons my Master requires of me and cannot linger for long. Did you need specific help?"
It was a lot of talking for her, but without much to go on, it was hard to continue a conversation without asking a few questions.

'Idiot just speak english' He thought. To be honest, he could speak tons of different languages but alot of them, he wasn't fluent in. Except his homeworld language, Felucian. He examined her and smiled a bit. "I knew I was lost, I'm not even close to the hangers am I?" He asked exhaling long. "Yes I would like some specific help. Do you know how to get to the hangers?" He asked. He couldn't help but to stare at her. She was the same species as his foster mother.

"As I said, I'm heading to the hangar deck now. You are welcome to accompany me there." She waited for his reply, then nodded once and headed off to find the Deck Chief. The company wasn't unwelcome, but the pair did fall into silence as Qyren let the conversation lag. Companionable silences didn't bother her, so she felt no need to continue a conversation so long as she was performing the task she had agreed to. Besides, her thoughts were somewhat elsewhere, flickering between her meeting with Mercy and her upcoming introductions to the Deck Chief as they passed through a stretch of courtyard.

"Okay." He said walking next to her. Abog wasn't use to the trange silence. He didn't like it when people were silent. "What homeworld were you born on?" Abog asked. He was curious really. He had visited the Twi Lek planet once but only one trading business with his family. His hand suddenly touched hers and he drew it back quickly. It kinda felt weird to him.

Qyren's hand twitched away as well and she shot him an unreadable glance, her tchun flicking slightly as well. "I was born on Ryloth."
She fell silent again, judging the distance to the hangar in her mind. If he was asking questions, he might be feeling uncomfortable. She bit the end of her tongue slightly, then continued, "However, I was very young when I left. Most of my memories are of the Core Worlds, and this Temple." She considered the habits of humans, and decided-- in spite of her character-- it might be polite to engage him in conversation until they reached the hangar. "And you?"

Abog listened to her well and examined the way she talked and walked as well. It was more of a habit, his examination. "I was born on a ship near Felucia, when some pirates came along and looted the ship. Luckily my mother sent me and my brother into seperate escape pods. I landed on Felucia, my adopted homeworld. My brother....." He stopped suddenly, as to ponder what happened to his long lost brother. He had visions of the Sith temple but he never knew why he even had them. Had his brother become a Sith? Abog shook his head at that thought and said. "I was raised by the tribe of Felucia. Intel a merchant came and adopted me. So I lived on a ship intel I came to Coruscant. I went to the Jedi Temple and felt that it was like a long lost home." He walked with a certain calm. As if there was nothing wrong with the world. "A jedi master felt the force in me and told me that I needed to train as a Jedi." He looked to her and thought. 'I'm rambling on again aren't I? Augh this always happens when I'm around a cute girl.'
