Hey all I fell down the stairs and broke my ankle so I'm not going to be posting for a while as I can't get to the computer on my crutches. Hopefully I will get a walking cast on Tuesday so then I will be back. I'll try and let everyone know what happens. Sorry about any inconvenience with posting.

So since this thread is still here, and since I never explained why I just disappeared into thin air (though I did tell a couple of people on MSN), I guess I better cough it up (well, kind of).
Anyway, as most of the oldies know, I got meningitis in September of last year because, like usual, I was trying to do too much at once and let myself get run down (we were having major family drama at the time, everyone else was in and out of the hospital with various things, most of them life threatening, so you all get the idea). Well, the thing was I never got better from the meningitis. I would get to the point where I could go back to work for a few days, and then I would be back at home sick again. Finally at the end of January I ended up back in the ER, and someone tapped me again (aka stuck a needle in my spine) because they though I had meningitis still. It was the first time they had tested my spinal pressure (even though I’d had 5 taps at that point and felt like a pin cushion), and the first thing out of the anesthesiologist’s mouth was “Wow, your pressure is really high.” Long story short, I was diagnosed with Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (IIH) aka Psudeotumor Cerebri (PTC), and it’s thought the meningitis was the trigger in my case, though no one is really sure, since only 1 in 100,000 people get it (I know, I’m always so lucky) they have no idea what really causes it, or how to treat it for that matter. All they know is that it is almost exactly like having a brain tumor (hence it’s called PTC, “false brain tumor). I’ve lost 20% of the hearing my right ear, I’m having vision problems, I haven’t been able to work since then, and I can’t drive anymore. And since the pressure on my brain is also affecting the rest of my nervous system (eventually it can force my brain into my spinal column), there’s something wrong with my heart now too.
So anyway, I’m hoping to come back and post some, but don’t mind me if I appear and disappear at random. I’m not mad and I’m not ignoring anyone. I just, quite literally, have days when I cannot get out of bed. I also have days when I’m perfectly fine though, so if I’m bouncing around like I’m on crack on other days… don’t mind me. I’m just enjoying the fact that my head doesn’t feel like it’s going to explode.
