Aaron noticed the boy's head drooping and ruffled his hair. "You scared of her," he asked with a wink towards Jet. "Jet's not that scary...well, she is but if you want to get along with her you just have to be a little scary yourself."
Aaron almost took a step back when he felt Jet's emotions but smiled instead. "This is Adrien Tharen," he said, introducing him to the group before returning his gaze to Jet. "He's Sarena's kid."
Adrien glared at Jet but Aaron was quick to cover the boys eyes. "Not now squirt," he chuckled. "The scary thing won't work just yet."

Jet took this information in stride, Sarena's kid...not Aaron's then. Thankfully although realistically it was probably only a matter of time she thought before he really did show up with one that was.
"I don't know" Jet remarked in an amused tone as Aaron covered up the boys attempt to be scary "Dylan could do a pretty decent scary at his age,....Chase was just creepy however, never talked - strange kid" She recalled, although Dylan had also formed a habit of stealing TD's and throwing them down freshers - best not to give the kid idea's.
"So how did you get roped into bringing Aaron home Adrien?" she asked the kid.

"I talk," exclaimed Adrien as he pulled Aaron's hand away clumsily. "And I'm not strange."
Aaron grinned and gave Jet a look that confirmed the boy was not quiet.
"He followed me home and my mom told me I could keep him," said Adrien with a big grin. Clearly the boy had wit beyond his age. "I have to give him a bath once a week though."

Jet nodded seriously before remarking blandly "clearly your mother has no idea what she's getting herself into, I'd have demanded a bath at least twice a week - and just between you and me he can get into allot of trouble that one, your going to have your hands full keeping him out of trouble. But I guess your willing to keep up with that responsability hmm?" Jet asked him, ticking her gaze up to Aaron himself for a few moments - as he still hadn't explained why he'd brought Adrien to the Mansion.

Adrien smiled. "Mom says he can get very dirty," he remarked, although he didn't know exactly what his mother had meant. "And he keeps me out of trouble more than I do."
Aaron sighed, rolling his eyes at the conversation between Adrien and Jet. Catching Jet's look he waved his hand dismissively at her unspoken question. "I figured he could start training," he informed her. "He's pretty strong but he doesn't seem to focus very well." As if on queue Adrien began looking around the room as he had lost interest in the conversation.

Jet was clearly amused by the boys comment and arched a brow at Aaron before shaking her head and nodding as Adrien's attention drifted.
"Thats easily fixed...you learn to pay attention after a few remote stings and unannounced ambushes" She didn't comment on his strength, the mere fact that she was speculating on training routines and handing out such comments was evidence that she had noticed. "And who did you have in mind to over see said training?"

"Well," Aaron began thoughtfully. "He's a bit of a handful so I figured I'd train him. Sarena would kill anyone else who pushed him too far anyway." Aaron almost snorted at the idea of actually being taken down by a normal woman like Sarena.
Adrien grabbed a fork that was on the counter and began to examine it before he unintentionally exerted himself on it, shooting it across the room and impaling the wall. The fork wobbled as it stuck in the wall and Adrien tried to hide his face in fear of getting in trouble.
Aaron raised his brows and gave Jet a told you look.

"Pushed him to far?" Jet echoed her gaze tracking the fork as it went streaking across the room and impaled itself in her wall. retrieving the still vibrating fork by calling it to her hand and setting it on the table Jet looked back to Aaron.
"I hope you've explained what happens to most force users who don't receive suitable training... especially strong ones, push him to his limits and then beyond them Aaron, take him to the point here he thinks he can't possibly go on..and then show him he can or she'll have far worse to worry about then a few training injuries in the future" And with that advice and a slight nod to Aaron, Jet gave her blessing to the pairing.

Aaron shrugged. "Sarena knows, but if you thought someone was hurting Amber you'd throw a fit too," he smirked. "Besides, Sarena's more ill-tempered than you are."
Crossing his arms, Aaron thought for a moment on what Jet said. "You seem to be giving this a lot of thought Boss-Lady," he said, eyeing her mischievously. "Maybe you should train him while I hold Sarena back."

"Not if the person trying to hurt her was her trainer I wouldn't...you forget - Grifter spent several years attempting to kill me on a regular basis" Jet remarked with a fond look. "It is also the reason I can't bring myself to train Amber myself...as you say, its hard for a mother to do such things to their child"
She waved Aaron off "I think you can handle the basics at the very least...I'll just watch and give advice as needed...for now" she concluded with a slight smile - and she would indeed keep her eye on the boy's training, a close one. "Perhaps he and Rothk can work together from time to time"

Jorunn shrugged at Darren: "Surprise me."
She wasn't certain she was going to eat the thing anyway, she was just being polite. Besides, when Aaron entered the room with the child, he suddenly had more pressing things to look to: Like the sudden spike of recognition followed by a new sense of loathing for yesternight's tormentor.
How can he imply the things he did and still somehow raise a child?
It's incredulous, she thinks to herself, and she supposes that there is no bottom limit to his-
"Ow!" Jorunn jerks her leg away from the sudden pain that had shot up it. Upon closer examination, someone had kicked her under the table. Looking in that direction, she finds Taaru staring chewing his sandwich, looking significantly at her with raised eyebrows and muttering a hasty apology through a full mouth.
Taking his meaning, Jorunn gathers herself, and tries to ignore the conversation between Jet and Aaron and his little one as best she can. However, she does finally realize that Aaron isn't really the father, and feels ashamed for having assumed as much, once again ascribing to him her personal troubles, and not evaluating him for who he really was.

"Aw come on, how can you resist this face," Aaron teased as he squeezed Adrien's cheeks together and faced the boy towards Jet. "I'll even train Amber for you as part of the deal."
Having his face squished was mildly discomforting to Adrien but he still managed to turn the corners of his mouth up as his eyes were forced to make contact with Jet's.

Despite having called this meeting, Taaru is quite happy in just watching its silly events unfold, though he couldn't shake the feeling that they'd picked up another pathetic lifeform when Aaron came prancing in with a little boy.
He happens to see Jorunn reacting a little different, though predictably, and chastises her the only way he knows how, given the situation. A significant look is enough to get her out of her funk, after which she takes to looking at the ceiling with a bored expression on her face.
Taaru continues to eat his sandwich, ducking absent-mindedly and without any sort of effort when a fork goes sailing past the place his head used to be, and again when the fork returns to Jet's hand.
He figures he will let the various actors have their side bits before he opens the meeting. At least that way he can finish lunch.

Darren shrugged and started to fix a couple of sandwiches, casting curious glances at Aaron and Jet as the conversation progressed, though he wisely chose to keep his comments to himself...also seeming not to notice Jorunn's complaints at what he assumed was being kicked under the table.
"For the lady" He announced, setting her plate in front of Jorunn with a fake and rather ridiculous chef's flourish before taking his own seat and picking up his sandwich - leaning back to see just how events unfolded at this little meeting.

Erika was content to sit back and watch the current conversation. She watched the people carefully listening to their words with utmost care, though she knew them all by now she only truly knew Jet, so this was her opportunity to learn as much as she could about them through simple observing and listening. She grabbed a drink and made herself comfortable. Soon Taaru would bring the meeting to a beginning, but for now she was merely another person in the room.
