[Mercy Freestrike]

Mercy watched Teagan fall back on the bed, it probably could get worse she figured but why trouble him with timing of the Temple security cameras that sept past the door to this room at regular intervals. She'd already taken care of that anyways.

"Nah...not everyone - not everyone bribes the nurses and they don't talk to any of the other Jedi really" She assured him "Least not about anything but their health, Oh the nurses know everything that goes on around here - but their not really gossips unless you well...cultivate them a little and I've been working this Temple for years, I don't think anyone else has put that much effort into it"

She paused and then continued in a teasing voice 'Now if you plan on skipping don the hallways holding hands..."

Teagan nodded, not really believing her. He wasn't in the right place to think logically at the moment. He let his hands fall to his sides and looked up at the ceiling, his mind swimming.

Without taking his eyes off the ceiling, he grinned. "If she wanted to I would," he said in reply to Mercy's skipping comment.

"Oh switch off," he yelled at Artoo as the, until now, quiet droid began to play a soft, romantic melody.

"Ignore him R2 - thats a great song " Mercy remarked as she drew her legs up into the chair, curling up in it with a wicked gleam in her eye. "I would pay allot of credits for footage of you skipping...the future potential of such information is almost unthinkable.." She paused and then off handily began to list the various uses "I mean there would be the wedding of course....oh and then the children when their older, and gosh the younglings would just love it!, maybe the feast when they finally make you a master..."

He looked at Mercy and his jaw dropped at all the things she was mentioning. He hadn't even contemplated a future with Daphne. At least not last night. Now he was in utter shock at the idea that all of his dreams had the distinct possibility of actually coming true. He shook his head to clear his thoughts. "J-jumping the gun aren't we," he managed to stammer in an attempt to keep the mood light.

"Well one can always hope for the best" She remarked snickering slightly at the shocked look on his face - oh this was going to be righteous fun for a little while. Still - she didn't want him to think she was against the idea and put a more serious look on her face."I mean..I never was all that sure about that Cole fellow, at least your a Jedi too"

Teagan's eyes drifted down to his hands at the mention of Cole. He began to play with his hands before saying anything. "We uh," he said, keeping his eyes down. "We haven't talked about him yet."

"Well...I wouldn't think you have to much to worry about I mean she went on vacation with you not him..." Mercy remarked although she well remembered the pull Cole had had on Daphne in the beginning, but then those sort of relationships never seemed to last for long and she hadn't seen him in quite a while, maybe whatever spell he'd had over her was broken now.

"I never met him, but he seemed like a dodgey fellow to me, rich...but shadey you know?" She asked him - but of course he probably wouldn't know, being a guy and all.

"I never liked him either," he remarked, finally looking up to her with a small grin. His eyes, however, showed anything but happiness.

Teagan looked quizzically over at the holoscreen when he thought he had heard his name. His eyes widened and he ground in disbelief. "Oh no," he said as the news ran a video of his exploits on Zeltros. He could be seen running up through the skylanes, using the hovercars as stepping stones. The reporter could be heard expressing her disapproval of the young Jedi Knight's actions and apparent lack of concern for the community. Teagan brought his hand up to cover his eyes once again and let out a deep breath. "I'm dead."

Artoo could be heard making a long drawn out ooooh sound as he watched Teagan vault from vehicle to vehicle.

Mercy's eyes had flicked to the screen when she heard Teagan's name as well. "You know..." she remarked "Last time Daph and I got on the Holonet we got like 24 hours of straight training...and that was only because Chase intervened on our behalf with the council". Trailing off she watched the rest of Teagan's exploits - the reporter was quite adamant about playing him up in a bad light - typical.

"On the bright side...you still kissed Daphne" She pointed out trying to make light of the situation, they are so going to kill him she thought to herself.

Teagan gave Mercy a moderately scathing look. "You were a padawan at the time," he told her. "I'm a Knight. Our punishment is usually much worse."

Sighing, Teagan put his arms behind his head and looked at the ceiling. "So I took the girl I have feelings for to her home, almost get her killed, then I took her away from her home by almost getting myself killed," he said thoughtfully. "And to top it all off I put her in a horrible position when I could have just not let my feelings get the better of me. I sure am awesome aren't I?"

Mercy rolled her eyes slightly "I was Chase's padawan...you do remember just how cranky he was don't you?" she retorted to his scathing look.

"Oh don't start that - first of all Daph is a Jedi, i'm pretty sure she knew it was only going to be a visit, and second of all..Daph is a Jedi - we've all nearly been killed many a times for many a reasons and I doubt this will be the last...so quit feeling sorry for yourself."She scolded him "you here,she's here and your both alive - and being all sad and dejected isn't going to help you with the council any, just makes you look guilty."

Teagan grinned at Mercy. "Chase is cranky ," he admitted. "But I was Master Enar's padawan. Enough said."

Teagan nodded in forfeit, unwilling to continue the argument. He propped himself up on an elbow and faced Mercy. "So," he began. "Just what else did you hear? So I can set you straight."

Mercy winced slightly - her and Master Enar had never really seen eye to eye, she recalled quite a few dressing downs from him and one time when he'd sicced training droids on both her and Daph. 'Yeah you win that one" she agreed.

Considering for a few moments Mercy replayed the gossip she'd managed to get from the nurses "well..they said you need dancing lessons"

Teagan smiled and turned a deep shade of red. "Yeah well," he said, choking on the words a little. "I also need half of the muscles in my lower back to reattach themselves to one another."

"go ahead..blame the injuries" Mercy responded with a grin shaking the flower she still had in hand at him "But I remember you at the Viper party"

"Personally..I think you were just using that as an excuse to get close, Devious Teagan...very devious" she continued "Although if it makes you feel any better they thought it was pretty cute too"
