"I am, after all, the same Jedi Master that created the treaty between the jedi and the Galactic Alliance some number of years ago" Patrick commented after Luke spoke. "So rest assured that you are amongst very accepting members of this order."

"Extrapolating from our CoS' known position and other data we believe that the feared anti-Force legislation will come to fruition despite the efforts of those who support the Jedi. We will be attempting to temper this legislation when it comes before the senate and with all hope it can be drawn before numerous proceedings. In exchange for this help we would like Jedi assistance in some of out operations. As the Jedi of old held position in the New Republic and the Galactic Alliance since its bounding we would extend the oppurtunity to do so again. While this opportunity is limited to Inteligence and not the Fleet, Diplomatic Corps, or Medical Services, we feel that by putting a opening in one it may further open doors in the others. Also we would continue the supplies that the GA has recently cut off." M'ddie stood silently behind his partner awaiting the meetings ooutcome.

Luke stroked his chin, studying the Agents in front of him a moment longer. Well this was certainly not to be expected. While it made him wonder why they only wanted Jedi for intelligence it was a know fact that Jedi were good at it. But something felt sneaky. Turning toward Patrick he arched a brow as if to question the other master on his thoughts.

Patrick returned Luke's gaze with a sigh. "A very intriguing offer," he said in response to the agents, seeming to clean his fingernails nonchalantly. "How do you plan to keep these sort of operations out from under your Chief of State's nose? And just what kind of operations are you referring to?"

"The simple answer," explained M'ddie stepping in at this point. "Is that we won't have anyting to explain. We would hire any Jedi that works with us as a GAIS employee thus meaning we are not working with any outside body. By this same reasoning any credits or material shipped to Ossus would be filed with GA budget commitee as a expediture for a Longterm Intel Operation." "As for what operations," Bames answered again, "That would be decided on a case by case basis. Obviously as any operative would be employeed in would not be anything illegal nor to the best of our knowledge would it be anything against the Jedi Code. Some might ask for pilots to fly with our Wraith Squadron while other missions might ask for an undercover operative. Still others might just require someone with knowledge of the Force, of which your Order is infinetely more knowledgeable than or Agency."

As Jedi we 'Cannot' more Should not, accept wages for something we have been doing for millinia. And I would not order anyone of my Jedi to do such position. But.. He looked at Pat. We could offer out the opportunities to Jedi, we believe suited for the Job.
The Jedi are not mercenaries by any means though, not ever.

Patrick nodded in agreement with Luke before turning his attention back to the others. "I agree with Master Kardel," he stated simply. "To be honest I don't see any reason why our two organizations would need to form a legitimate alliance. After all we do help all those who request for our assistance...if we deem our presence as beneficial to the situation, in much the same way we would react to any operations you asked our members to take part in through the proposed alliance." He stilled his hands and took a breath before continuing. "That's not to say that we do not appreciate you attempting to extend a hand towards us but we feel that if we were to make such arrangements that it would, unfortunately, attract the negative attention of your Chief of State. It would be mutually beneficial if you were to just request our assistance on an operation to operation basis. More actively and thoroughly of course."

Bames groaned inwardly, "Let us think of it differently then, sir. Instead of viewing it as paying Jedi to do what it is, as you have said, has been doen for centuries, let us think of this as a replacement for the materials that were formerly supplied merely in a liquid form. I am terrably sorry, equating the Jedi with mercinaries was never my intention." pausing for a moment trying to find how he could save this conversation and hopefully help forge an alliance. "We understand and agree with your desire to avoid the Chief of State's attention as well as certain other senators. However, my Director, and I agree with him here, believe that staying in contact as closely as he would like would alert the CoS even faster. Thus the round about method of ontaining this meeting as opposed to using the holonet."

Thinking for a brief moment Luke came to a conclusion in is mind, but decided to let this play out a little longer to see what these men had to still bring up. Let us say we agree. The Jedi offer our service to you, under the radar if you will, we have stations through out the galaxy in which we keep our Jedi Sentinels. Now, I understand the desires to keep holonet contact down, but say we allow you to keep a man with one of ours. When you need to reach us you contact your man you speaks with ours, and contacts us. And we deliver whomever is suited best for the Job.
Let's just say you needed a intelligence agent, for Example, Master Starkiller is quite apt in the arts of being, sneaky. So we send you him. He does the job, you send a shipment, or payment or leave a crate of plattanium bars on a random moon somewhere. It doesn't matter. Motioning a hand to Patrick. For us, credits are not what we're looking for. Peace. Mister... I do not believe you ever gave us your name.. But Peace, is all the Jedi want, Peace in the Galaxy and peace with the GA. We are not war mongers or villains.

"Nor is Master Kardel implying that you believe we are war monger or villains," he continued Luke's statement.

Bames seemed startled that he had gone on so and had completely forgottne to introduce himself, "My sincerest apologies, my name is Bames Jond and this is my partner M'ddie Eurphy." Bames gestured as he spoke whil M'ddie inclinded his head at his introduction. Curious he asked, "As for making contact simpler where would you prefer for such contact to take place?

Pleasure to meet the both of you.. Frowning slightly Luke shrugged and turned to Patrick then back to Jond and Eurphy. I do not know yet.. Let master Starkiller and myself speak over the matters at hand. We can arrange an escort for you in the in-term.
Perhaps you would like a tour of the Temple, or even a bite to eat, We'll make sure you receive good care. Turning aside he tapped a button on the side panel of his chair. Please send in the guards Tee-49.
We won't be long Sirs. Please excuse us.

"Yes," Master Starkiller agreed. "We have much to discuss. Perhaps you would like to take in the sites of the temple grounds, or even tour our training facilities. We hear watching the younglings and Knights train can be quite the site for non-force users."
"If you wish to tour the training facilities the guards will escort you there," Patrick continued. "Jedi Weapon Master Androth Keeth will escort you from there if you so wish it."

The agents thanked the masters again for their time and then followed the guards sent in by Tee-49. They decided to follow a tour of the grounds and the Temple.

As the two men left Luke turned to Starkiller. Well.. Speak of the Sith..
Perhaps instead of sending Mercy and the Vipers off to the GA. We just have them speak to Mister Jond and Mister Eurphy? I admit I am not entirely thrilled at the concept of having Jedi do GA dirty work. We've seen force user run special forces before, though I admit, during the clone wars the Jedi did serve as rather good generals. Luke froze momentarily to shake a mental image. Anyways.. I am not against helping the GA, and we could always give the money to the Naboo relief fund, assuming they would take it.
