"I would like to speak with Mercy and the others before deciding who they should meet with," he commented. "Perhaps we can inquire as to how Skywalker feels about the situation once we hear his report of Zeltros."
Shifting in his seat, Patrick cleared his throat before responding to Luke's other remarks. "I'm not sure I completely believe what these men are saying." Crossing his arms, he continued. "For instance, what if this is some ploy by the Chief of State to see just how far we're willing to go in order to oppose her. And what of these operations? They're avoiding the real subject. Clearly they have some inkling if they went to the trouble of infiltrating us. I fear just what they may ask us to do."

Chewing his lower lip for a moment, Luke nodded, and decided to himself to not make any decisions yet. Ok, Let's get Skywalker in here before we go to much farther.
I want this to work though, I don't want us to walk ourselves backwards into something blindly either, or, for that matter, turn our noses up at it blindly...

Patrick nodded. "Of course," he agreed. He paused for a moment as if formulating a plan. "Perhaps we should add a secondary objective to the diplomatic mission you have assigned the Vipers to. Freestrike and Lightheart are exceptional examples of empaths, while Skywalker seems to have a knack for weeding out conspiracies. I feel we should have the trio evaluate and analyze this Makiles girl so that we may gauge how against us she truly is."

Luke made a pointing motion toward Starkiller. Not a bad thought.
I wasn't exactly sure of my reasoning behind wanting them to go, other then thinking they would be qualified and it would just work out.. The force has been giving me re-assuring vibes with those three despite the antics. New era of Jedi..
Tapping his comm button. Get me Jedi Skywalker, as soon as possible.

"Then suffice it to say The Force has guided me to make such a suggestion," added the Jedi Master, one side of his mouth quirking up.
Patrick uncrossed his arms and leaned back in the seat, allowing himself to appear more open and less closed off for when the Jedi Knight would arrive.

Teagan Skywalker walked up to the Councilroom doors and looked over to one of the security guards. The guard nodded and the doors slid open, allowing Teagan to walk calmly into the center of the room. He had stopped by his quarters to put his robe on, making himself more presentable.
"Masters," came the Knights deep voice as he bowed respectfully. "Forgive me for not pressing the matter concerning my report. I felt it best to await your call so I may better prepare my responses."

Master Kardel nodded his head to the Jedi. Everything has it's time Jedi Skywalker.
Please begin. Luke leaned back into his chair and folded his arms tightly around him, then placed one hand under his chin, a listening pose.

"Perhaps you could start with telling us just why you went to Zeltros in the first place," added Patrick, wanting to get to the point. "And of course there's the matter of having Padawan Lightheart accompany you unauthorized."

Teagan nodded in response to Master Kardel and turned to Master Starkiller. "Yes of course Master," he said calmy.
The Jedi Knight parted his feet ever-so-slightly and clasped his hands behind his back, taking on a somewhat militaristic stance. "I went traveled to Zeltros under the guise of a smuggler with the intentions of learning what I could of the mercenary the Council had me investigating in the recent past. With known Jedi activity in the area it was likely I would find some mention of them," he stated perfectly, revealing just how many times he had rehearsed the lines. "And as for having Daph...ahem...Padawan Lightheart accompany me, I felt it'd be best to have a guide that was familiar with the area come along."

A good idea, unauthorized none the less, and it will be addressed later. Luke continued to maintain the same expression. But please, What did you find out?

Teagan cleared his throat and looked down at his feet, his defense starting to crumble away. "Nothing Master," he said quietly. "As I'm sure you know, things didn't go as I had hoped." Slowly, he began to shift his weight back and forth between his feet, fidgeting.

Luke arched a eyebrow at this. So, what exactly are you reporting here Skywalker?
How long has it been since you've gotten any information on this Mercenary? I don't mean to be-rive you young Jedi, but reports generally contain much more information then "oops."
I'm disappointed. Waving his hand as if to brush the matter aside momentarily. I am sure Jedi Freestrike has informed you of my requested mission of the vipers. And currently we have two GA agents with us in the Temple. There are a great deal many pressing matters at hand. And I need you to be at your full potential.

Patrick huffed, noticeably disappointed in Teagan. "Perhaps next time you decide to take Padawan Lightheart out on a date you'll remember to ask permission," he said simply. "We're not as strict as one may think when it comes to such matters Skywalker."

"I'm sorry Master Kardel but," he said, raising his head and looking at the Jedi Master. "I never claimed my report had any significant information. It is the Council's directives that require me to report my findings, or lack thereof."
Teagan's jaw muscles could be seen clenching as he clenched his teeth in frustration as Luke waved his statement off. He relaxed though when Patrick addressed him. He nodded, a bit disbelieving. "Of course Master Starkiller," he stammered. "I apologize for not seeking the council's permission but it was spur of the moment."
Turning back to Luke, Teagan nodded. "Yes Master Kardel. Jedi Freestrike has informed me of the missions you have assigned her and a select group of the Vipers and I am aware of the GA Agents inside the temple" he responded. "Is there any information I should know about before undertaking this mission? Or is there anything specific the Council would like me to do about the current situation with the agents?"

Yes there is. We want you to do the usual diplomacy thing, speaking with senators, making up a good appearance, and of course, digging under the surface to root out any possible sub-plots.
If at all possible, we want to remain a neutral organization, and ever ally, to the GA. Unfortunately they are our current best hope for keeping a moderate galactic peace. Luke mused over this thought temporarily. Then looked over at Patrick, an idea growing in his mind, But brushed it aside until later. Eh.. I trust you Teagan Skywalker to remain focused on this excursion. While the Jedi do not dis-approve of relationships, if the case is in fact that, we still want our Jedi Knights and Padawans to maintain a high level of self control.
Lifting a finger in a mock discipline wag. Do not make us pair you up with one of us instead.
