[Mercy Freestrike]

"It's never too early to start building sympathy" Mercy retorted with a smile "and she might...but such is the chance you take, although in all honesty - minus the dancing and the kiss your about as pushy as well...whatever the least pushy thing in the galaxy is" She remarked with chuckle.

"I mean you'd only been crushing on her since well..she arrived, and your only just now actually acting on it" She grinned - although she was fairly certain that such things had flown straight over Daphne's head until now.

"Well," he said as he looked down at his hands again. "When she first got here we didn't know each other well enough and then there was Cole. I've never really had the chance to do anything. I probably shouldn't have kissed her last night anyway. I should have waited or something."

"waited?" Mercy shook her head and helped herself to one of the candies she'd brought him earlier "Waited for what? the Sith to be destroyed...the planet to freeze over?" She snorted and unwrapped the candy popping it into her mouth.

"Your just being silly and second guessing yourself" she stated around the candy while flattening the wrapped and folding it into some semblance of a ship which she sent flying at him, it fell sadly short and she shrugged, paper ships - what could you do?

Teagan caught the paper ship with the force and sent it lazily twirling around the room. "Of course I'm second guessing myself," he said, not showing any sign of concentration to keep the ship airborne. "This is me making a move we're talking about."

"cheater" She stated, watching the paper ship fly about the room. Turning her attention back to Teagan she smiled "Well you just need to have confidence in yourself - trust me it's the trick to getting most anything you want, walk into a place and know your going to get the information..or the date you want and you will..skulk about the sidelines wringing your hands and your not coming out with anything"

Making a face since the candy had a sour center she continued, 'how else do you think I talk people into telling me half the thing they do - be nice, add a little confidence and it's all smooth flying, people trust confident friendly people,its like..genetic or something"

"Oh really," Teagan mused. "That's odd, because all I did was stutter last night. I also made a fool of myself, as the nurses have told you."

Mercy rolled her eyes "Well being injured and pathetic will take you a little ways granted" She grinned at him "But what are you going to do when your all better and you can't play the sympathy card?"

[Teagan Skywalker]

"I dunno," he admited, shrugging. "Try and learn to dance correctly I guess."

[Mercy Freestrike]

Mercy grinned "well you know who taught the deck crew don't you? and Chief Tyrol in time for his anniversary" She eyed him thoughtfully "it's really not that hard you know, most people are just to scared to do it try, you fight Sith - you can't be scared of dancing.."

[Teagan Skywalker]

"Yeah well next time I fight a Sith I'll ask them to dance," he retorted sarcastically. "Then I'll tell you which is scarier."

Teagan smiled and looked down at his hands yet again, his neck turning red. "And it's not the dancing that scares me," he said quietly. "Not with Daphne at least."

Mercy blinked at him - not the dancing well then what? "But..you've known Daph forever and a day now, what on earth could you find frightening about her?"

[Teagan Skywalker]

Teagan took a moment to think before answering. "I guess... I guess up until last night Daphne was unobtainable to me," he said quietly. "I was always afraid that if she knew how I felt, I mean really knew, then she'd be disgusted and embarrassed that Teagan liked her."

Standing up, with the X-wing in hand, Teagan walked around for moment before continuing to speak. "Up until last night I felt like I was supposed to go through life alone," he said with his back to Mercy. "And then there's the whole thing about being a Skywalker. All my family seems to do is bring suffering to the galaxy, one way or another. I always thought: why should I find someone to spend my life with and eventually keep the last name going? And now this whole thing with Daphne. I just..."

Teagan sighed. "I think too much.

Mercy watched as Teagan paced around with the stuffed X-wing, it would be amusing if he didn't seem so damn torn up about everything, she was glad he'd gotten over his stumbling speech stage with her early on and could open up to her now. Standing up she went over and gave him a hug - because quite frankly the poor man seemed like he needed one.

"Don't be silly Teagan, its not like your the hunchback of Corellia you know, do you have any idea how many of the younger padawans crush on you?...and no its not just because of your name, speaking of which without your ancestors we wouldn't even have a Jedi Order, I wouldn't have a home or a place to belong...and who knows what would happen to the rest of the Galaxy - the benefits far outweigh the negative in my opinion, sometimes the negative is just focused on more, its more dramatic and people like drama." She paused for a moment and then continued "And no one is meant to be alone, no one is meant to do anything - we make out own destinies"

Teagan didn't hug her back, not being able to muster up the right emotions to do it right. Instead he just focused on the x-wing and started to pick off random bits of lint. "Mercy, if it wasn't for at least one of my ancestors the original Jedi Order wouldn't have been destroyed in the first place," he sighed and tossed the toy over onto his bed. "I see the point you're trying to make and I understand it, but I'm just rambling as it is."

"Yeah, yeah I know," he said in reply to a few admonishing beeps from Artoo.

Mercy sighed - Teagan had always been a bit weird over his family, it wasn't really something she could understand since she had no family herself. She'd grown up in the Temple and family things were sometimes beyond her - it was probably one of the only facets of people she didn't understand.

"yeah well...he killed the bad guy in the end didn't he?" She shrugged and went back to her chair. "In any case I don't really think you can base your future on your families past, for better or worse..their dead and your alive so what happens now is completely up to you"
