[Teagan Skywalker]

"I know," Teagan said, with a nod. "It's just something that I think about is all. It's not like I'm already planning on kids with Daphne." He smiled at Mercy over the ridiculousness of the idea.

Putting his hands on the board at the end of the bed Teagan leaned against it, but shot straight up instantly with a grimace on his face. "Bad idea," he said through clenched teeth. Apparently he had found a sweet spot in his still healing back.

"Yeah well...things happen" Mercy remarked with a slight smile, her thoughts flitting back to Nate. "But yeah that's probably jumping the gun by quite a bit."

She winced as he leaned against the footboard "at least you can walk about now" she offered "I could probably get you out of here if you wanted"

Teagan gave her a humorous don't start look.

"That's ok," he replied. "They said once I can walk I'm free to go. Let's just be thankful dancing well wasn't part of the deal."

"Force knows you'd never get out of here if that was the case" Mercy snickered at him and then sobered slightly "so let me get this straight - your technically free to go...and your still moping about the med center? I'd have been bolting out of this place so fast..." Mercy spent a part of her week every week in the Med Center - it was a fine place to be when you were visitng, cultivating relationships with the nurses and doctors, snooping around and getting the latest stories..but it was a bad place to be when you were a patient.

"Unless of course your avoiding the council..in which case they will wise up and come looking for you eventually...maybe, lately you really can't tell - word is Anya's on one of her 'everyone should be nice to one another' trips, Lukes AWOL and Pat's..well they say he's gone a bit loo-loo"

"Well," he began looking away from her, a little embarrassed. "I shouldn't have even been standing up last night, nevermind doing what I did." He touched his wound, the skin having healed over through the night, gingerly. "And besides," he continued gesturing at the decorations. "I couldn't let all of this go to waste."

Mercy laughed glancing about the room and the bobbing balloons "Yeah well..I wanted to express my feelings about you guys being home - granted I would have preferred a surprise party in the Vipers Den, but this worked too"

Wandering towards his door she pilfered his chart from the little case they kept such things in - easy for nurses to check medicine doses and such she supposed, leafing through it she held it up to show him wth a teasing grin"Look they even drew your wounds in on the little diagram...kinda nasty - wonder if they'll scar, scars are neat. Girls like scars. How long are you going to hide out in here then?"

Artoo projected a hologram of Teagan's body, complete with the metal shard that had pierced numerous vital organs.

"Artoo come on," Teagan exclaimed in disgust. He held his his hand up to block the view. "Neither of us want to see that."

Artoo bleeped and powered down the hologram as Teagan turned his attention to Mercy. "Well I could leave whenever. I'm allowed to take some time to myself before I report to the Council anyway," he informed her. "But my room is just as inviting as this wonderful place so it doesn't bother me."

Mercy quirked an eyebrow and moved her head to peer over Teagans hand at the diagram shrugging at him as it powered down. 'What? its scientific curiosity, did you keep the shard? I heard people do that sometimes"

She grimaced at the comment about his room "maybe you should redecorate, I know a good person"

"Scientific curiousity," he echoed. "Yeah, right. No, I couldn't keep the shard if I wanted. Daphne threw it away when she took it out."

"I'm never giving you the reigns to decorating my room," he said, shaking his head vigorously. "I like pink girls, not pink walls."

Mercy nodded slightly, she wouldn't have wanted to keep it and couldn't imagine Teagan wanting it either, she was pretty sure he'd remember it quite well without the physical evidence the piece of metal would give him.

"Pft..I wouldn't give you pink walls - give me some credit, purple maybe...but not pink, my rooms pink - can't have matching rooms thats just weird" she teased him.

"Daphne wears a lot of purple," he mentioned absently, off in his own world for a moment. "Thanks but no thanks. I'm not in my room enough for it to matter anyway."

"Yes Daphne likes purple..." Mercy confirmed rollingh e eyes slightly at the lala look that entered Teagans eyes as he went off to his own little world for a moment. "You planning on running off again soon then?" she asked him, Teagan did tend to get sent out quite a bit by the council he didn't spend nearly the same amount of time in the Temple as she did.

Teagan shrugged as he walked over to a chair that had his usual jedi robes folded neatly on it. He grabbed his slightly transparent tan undershirt and began to pull it over his head. "I dunno," he admitted once the shirt was on completely. He signaled with his hand for her to turn away as he picked up his pants. "I'm normally at the top of the Council's list. I guess they like my work."

Mercy obediently spun her chair around and spoke to the wall "Yeah, they do send you out alot - though I'd think they'd give you a reprieve now for a little bit, its not like your in top form at the moment" She picked at her fingernails for a few moments before continuing "me on the other hand - they seem to like keeping me well bored"

"You can look," he said after he had switched from his scrubs to his brown pants. "And the Council doesn't want to bore you. They just notice that you keep the temple in a good mood. That and you have a baby to take care of." He plopped down in the seat and grunted in discomfort as he started to slip his boots on, his back stretching.
